A month after Nolan Wells disappeared on Horn Island and was found dead two days later, two of the young men who were with him went back. That's according to the reports. And I like most people, I wanna know why. Everyone wants to know why, not because going back to Horn Island proves that they did anything wrong. That's not it. It does not. But because nothing about this return was going to lower the temperature around this case. And everyone has been saying, well, at least from the on the the young men of the teen side, like, yeah, you know, lower the temperature, whatever.
And even the family has said that lower the temperature, all of that. So Warren Hudson and Jax Patallo never really heard Warren Hudson, I think He's the he's the friend who did the interview. And then I've never heard of Jack Spitella. But anyway, they went back Friday with attorneys Jay Tyler Cox and Edward Andrew Paulsig. Again, that's according to the reports. They spent about three hours there. They went to the area where Nolan's body was found, we're told, and they showed their attorneys a part of the island that they call the washing machine. where they say the currents move in different directions. Then their lawyers talked publicly about the trip. Okay? So uh according to the reports, they said they talked about the water, they talked about the currents.
Right. And they talked about Warren and Jax becoming emotional. So in the reports, they said that the young men became emotional and so on. All right. And they talked about how difficult it was for them to return to the last place that they saw their friend. Again. All this according to the reports. And now here we are talking about them again. And so my question, my the my general question is so if the purpose was to get people to stop paying attention to Warren Hudson and Jax Patillo and the friends and all of the folks who are not happy with s how they believe that they are being portrayed in the press. This makes absolutely no sense. At least the public part of it. It kind of did the opposite of that.
It put them right back in the spotlight, which makes me wonder whether the spotlight was part of the point for all of this. Because look. When we w when we talk about this, what journalists do is that we talk about everything, we bring everything in and let people discuss and we discuss, and that's how you do an investigation. That's how you do it. But and you also have to analyze the reasons behind things. Because People don't always understand what's going on behind the scenes of the reasoning, but journalists know that's what we do. And it's up to us to bring light to it because this looks an awful lot like an effort to reshape the public narrative around these young men. And again, to reshape the public narrative or a public narrative around these young men.
Not guilt, not innocence, but the court of public opinion. And so it looks like, as I said last week, that this case is now being fought.
