We are back. We are back for another season of the Ella Era. And surprise! I'm in a new studio. Um, I am honestly so excited to be back, to be back recording. There is so much to say in this season, and so much that I just can't wait to share with you guys. But more importantly. And yes, I have been teasing this episode for the past few days. Um I can't believe that I'm saying this, but The first episode to the Ella Era is with the one and only Domenica Kalaco. And to be honest, if you asked me that even just four weeks ago, I wouldn't have said that that's what I'm gonna do. But Here we are. Um, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous and definitely had cotton mouth and definitely like sweating from the pits down.
Um, one factor is because I also miss Pia. I'm in Sydney recording this episode and I'll be flying back straight after. But This is gonna be the first time and the last time that Dom and I sit down and actually talk about this together. And when I say this is actually the first time that we're talking about it. I'm telling the truth. So I hope that the sit with us OGs really get what they should have got two years ago. And I don't know. I hope that you guys can See where we're coming from with this conversation. We are as honest as we can be and as we want to be. And keep in mind we're also both really nervous. Crazy. When you think of like actually just how long that's been and like what has happened. Not only for us personally, but just like professionally during that time.

So I think what a really nice I feel like a nice way to kind of get into things would maybe be talking about like the beginning and you know, like Planning for this chat, like I was just reflecting on all the amazing things that we got to do together. Yeah um and the start of sit with us. So It's actually pretty crazy, like when I was like searching in to sit with us as well. So within 48 hours of launching our podcast, we hit number one on Spotify in Australia.

Which I feel like is really hard to do these days. Um and we also cracked the UK top ten.
Wow. Isn't that crazy? See, I've forgotten like that all these things have happened. And it's sad when something shit happens, you instantly
don't remember the good things. You really don't. You forget straight away. And it's like with anything online as well, like there might only be a few negative comments, but you always focus on the negatives. But like overall, in the two years that we had the podcast, there was so much more good than bad. Yeah. But the bad just got like really fucking heavy and like unfortunately took over. So what was your best period about Sit With Us?
I think it was just going on the journey of of, you know, post this crazy journey of maths. Doing it together and being able to have a platform where we got to grow a community of people who just loved hearing our thoughts and opinions on things. I think that was really, really exciting. And, you know, obviously we took some amazing trips and we did incredible things. We got to experience and witness really great things. Yeah. It was just, it was more for me building the community.
