All right, guys, welcome back to the Handcrafted Podcast. Hope everybody has been doing great. Uh, quick things I wanted to share. I will be at the Texas Woodworking Conference. That is September 25th, 26th, 27th, down in Austin, Texas. I will be doing three different seminars and talks, uh, one each day, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It will be awesome to see you there if you are there. or you're planning to go, drop me an email. Uh we have a bunch of people from the network going, as well as just a bunch of other people that I know through the industry. It'd be really great to meet up with some people, hang out, say hello, maybe grab some barbecue, all that sort of stuff. So if you're gonna be there, send me an email, let me know, um, and yeah, I'd be it'd be great to meet.

Secondly, this podcast, as you know, is brought to you by the Handcrafted Network. The Handcrafted Network is currently doing a summer Special. We're doing seven-day free trial of the handcrafted network. We've had a bunch of people join. We've had a bunch of people join the uh success group, and it's been awesome. I've been getting to connect with a ton of people over the phone. We've been doing a lot of uh sort of like a little bit of one-on-one stuff. So that's part of it. Is like once you sign up, you get prompted to do a call with me where we just kind of talk. It's either we catch up or we Solve a problem, or y I help connect some dots for you, or you say, Hey, I'm working on this, and I go, Oh, you should go talk to
Paul Mencel 1:54
Ron in the group, or you should go talk to somebody else in the group. So it's a really great way to connect with other people. It's a great way to not feel so lonely in this industry.

How can a free‑trial audit of your online presence reveal hidden quality gaps?

Paul Mencel 2:03
I know uh many times when I was starting this business over, you know, 11 years ago, I was just like, I have no clue what the heck I'm doing. How does anybody do this? How am I supposed to price? How am I supposed to talk to this client? How am I supposed to close this deal? So all of that stuff, super helpful. I created the group that I wish I had. when I was starting. So if you're interested, I also just updated the website. Well actually my marketing guy Jim, who I talk about often, who's also a member of the group and helps you with marketing strategy, advertising, all of that sort of stuff, is a member of the group. And makes modules and communicates and connects and does website audits, all that sort of stuff in there.
Paul Mencel 2:41
Anyways, he updated our website. So if you go to the handcrafted network.com, you'll see a little bit of a spruce up of the website. So that's kind of an ever-evolving thing. Websites are sort of ever evolving. If you're interested in joining, there's a link below in the show notes, in the comments, in the whatever it is, however you're getting this. If you're on YouTube, I think it's in the show notes. If you're in the any of the other podcasts, I think it's also in the show notes. So with that said, speaking of websites and all that sort of stuff, that's a really nice segue into what I want to talk about today. I've been doing a lot of phone calls with people, a lot of, you know, new people joining.
Paul Mencel 3:20
And part of it is I say, hey, can you do you mind sending your socials? Do you mind sending your website to me? I'd love to kind of take a look. And so one thing I've noticed is People aren't Craft it showing the level of their craft in every step of the way and everything that they're doing. I know it's really challenging to do this, and to me, I'm a Northeast person. So, you know, I was uh born in New England, grew up in Philly area. I'm a straight shooter, I love to tell it how it is.

What does a 10/10 customer experience look like from first contact to delivery?

And a big part of that is telling you what you don't want to hear.
