Tell you that Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns here at Everbank Stadium, presented by Publix, where shopping is a pleasure. And it sure will be nice to have regular season football in Jacksonville. What do you think?

Yeah. I hear there were T shirts made. We'll have to ask the coach about that. All right. Listen, that's the smart approach. You you you You're home this year, but you should still approach it like you will go and do whatever it takes wherever you have to go do it.
Yeah, I d uh there's nothing better than the environment of game day and and especially the first one. You know, and Especially you since you didn't really have any kind of pre season you know, preparations or that feel of having a game in preseason. So I I think this is a this is a big deal and there's nothing that beats the excitement of opening day, opening weekend, whatever you kick off weekend. They call it so many different things.
I was I was corrected. Okay. It was told Brian It's not the home opener. It's opening day.
Opening day. Opening day. Now the league called it a couple of years ago kickoff weekend. Yeah. Did that get thrown out the window?
Well, the person that told me who you know very, very well, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's listening right now, but told me in in in very strict terms, it is opening day. Okay. Get it right. It's opening day thirty seven for you, I think, if I go back to your rookie season. Thirty three for me, and uh the head coach joins us right now. Hey Liam, how are you? Good. How's it going? Good. Good. How was your August since we were just catching up with you? It was good, man. It was uh Playing football again.
Yeah. You know, I mean that's what you're you're waiting to do all summer. You get away from it and uh enjoy that time. But you start getting the itch and I think these guys um They handled camp the right way. I think there was growth. There was adversity. Um we got punched in the mouth and had to respond. And I think they did. They responded in in some ways that uh as a staff you can be you can feel good about. Still nowhere near, you know, a finished product. Right. Um And that's why we need every practice we can get. And so uh I was appreciative of the work though this summer.
How do you how do you balance because this week there are so many emotions, you know, you got anxiety because of the unknowns of week one. Right. But then you also have the excitement of, hey, look, we're gonna find out who and what we are.
Yeah. It's um as we watched last night in in the game was i look, there's so much anxiety just in terms of like going and playing a different opponent. And as you mentioned, w the unknown of uh we don't really quite know what they're going to do in all three phases, really. I mean you got new coordinators, um, new scheme, but we don't have their tape. They have Ours. That's a reality. Um, but our style of play and the way that these guys come out and play on Sunday, like that's what you're looking for. Like it it may not be, it doesn't have to be perfect, but it does have to be violent. And for us to play, um That's our brand of football and and and that's really our only way of of really operating is um we gotta go and be a physical, tough um finishing unit.
And like it's not gonna maybe always look the prettiest and be the tightest of execution. We want to get to that point, but we're also talking about week one. We're not a finished product yet. And so you wanna I see the style of play show up.
