Always. Great privilege to be with you. We had you on Thursdays throughout the season on this happy hour program, and that was a real highlight, I think, of the whole season for us. It was a highlight for me. It was a pleasure to be here and to be with you guys and watch the continued progress and success that the Jaguars put forth. It was very, very special. I'm very appreciative for it. We're going to have GM James Gladstone come in here in just a few moments. He's wrapping up with the media right now on a Zoom call. He'll come visit with us. I don't know if you guys have ever met before. Well, we haven't, but I kind of referred to him as he and Tony and Liam as the three wise men. They've done a tremendous job.
They have clearly brought gold, frankincense, and mirror here to Jacksonville, and we're looking for that to continue. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, it's a fantastic start for this group. For a team that was expected to win seven, eight, nine games, depending on who you asked, it went 13 and go to the playoffs? No, as I've mentioned a lot, if I was an opponent, I'd be looking at everything that's going on in Jacksonville. I think with James and... His staff and the coaching staff put together here is very, very special. I mean, they handled everything in a heck of a way last year. And so, again, the secret sauce they've got, let's keep it secret, but it's working. Yeah, and this is James Gladstone's season.
Free agency is here. The negotiation window two days before the start of the league year. And the Jaguars... Didn't do much. They re-signed some internal players that were pending free agents. They got that done with Quentin Morris, the tight end, Dennis Gardeck, Monteric Brown. We'll dig into those guys coming up. Since the league year started, they've added a running back in Chris Rodriguez Jr. with a connection back to the head coach back in his college days. But a lot of folks outside the building want big headlines and big money spent. And we've seen that happen around here before. Not the case this year. And You know what that means? It's in a pretty good spot. Oh, my gosh. I applaud where they are right now.
When you have 19-plus players that signed and ready back from last year, I would tell you that every single team in the league would be dying to sit in those chairs, the way this team is right now in terms of a team coming back that's in order. So I applaud the work that this staff has been doing to build this program and to have the team in the right direction. We're going to dig deeper into each of those re-signings coming up in just a little bit. And, of course, the new addition as well. We'll get the GM's perspective on that. And then there's all the things around the league that happen.
