That was the message right after the game in the team, in the locker room, and then obviously this afternoon now in the team meeting was, hey, guys, we've got to be extremely accountable to each other, to the things that obviously we could improve on or where we fell short. coaches, players, everybody involved in that. We got to be accountable. We got to connect, reconnect, and we've got to move on and respond. I mean, that's what it really comes down to. I'm excited to see us respond. I'm excited to get back on the grass on Wednesday with this group. and get back to work. But you're right, it is the message to the especially some of the younger players, rookies. It's like hey guys, this isn't the college football playoff where you know you lose a game in week two and you might not make it.

Yeah, I thought in the run game it was a little bit better than it maybe felt at times. I think we had some decent movement. I thought we handled some movement well and some pressures decent. In the pass pro, I think we got edged a little bit. I think Zach Allen really disrupted things inside. It was rough. we all kind of took our turns a little bit up front. I think it wasn't necessarily one guy on for the majority of the game. I think we all kind of took our turns. Um, we've got to do a better job of, um, you know, moving the launch point, doing some things to be able to help those guys.

What did Coach Coen say about the offensive line’s performance after reviewing game tape?

Um, so they're not just getting teed off on and some of the longer down and distances getting the you know, ball out a little bit more, you know, some longer developing routes that, you know, the ball's getting held on to a little bit. I don't think we helped them with some of that. You know, so it definitely wasn't necessarily one guy that just kind of, you know, hurt us. Everybody kind of took a turn, very similar to our game and our team as a whole. We all kind of took turns, and I'm confident in that group and their ability to respond.

Can you elaborate a little bit too on the cornerback rotation that you guys are using, you know, those outside corners? Is it like pre-planned, which drives? Is it more by feel? Is it a little bit more?

Liam Coen 3:13

It's just, it's by drive, um, with those guys rotating in, um, You know, with Buster, Travis, Jarrion, and then obviously J. Lou specifically and some of the nickel, you know, nickel stuff. So, you know, we did it for the most part of the last season as well before Travis got hurt. And it's something that we got to continue to do. I mean, we have we have corners that we have confidence in. Those guys can all make plays for us. They can all communicate for us. They've been in the system now. We've got to play it better for sure, but we've also got to get to the quarterback to help those guys out as well in the back end. So definitely some communication, and we were a little bit softer than I would have liked us to be, especially in some situations.

But, yeah, it's a rotation based on pregame. We have it all laid out. The players know it. They all know the rotation. It's been clearly laid out to them. what the expectations and standards are.
