How are the Jaguars feeling about playing at home in front of limited fans?
How excited are you to be at the bank? It's gonna be a gap before you get to play another one at home for a while.
Oh yeah it is. Uh gotta make it count. We got a great team coming in. Um, you know, we're excited to play 'em. But it's always good when we get play in front of our fans, especially we have so limited games here this year. So take we gotta take full advantage of it and you know, we get to wear the problems this week, so we're happy about that.
Does that get you going wearing the throwbacks, you like those? It
doesn't get us going but it's it's we look good in 'em and we feel good in 'em, so we're excited to be in 'em.
What have you kind of seen as a response from the team? I know it's only been one practice, but how did you feel like they kind of approached today?
Yeah, practice we flew around today. Uh you know, a lot of competitive reps out there, offense and defense. Uh so I feel like we're responding well to to the adversity that we've you know dealt with last week. Uh but we moved on and we're focused on the Patriots and you know, every day is uh is an important day for us and we're just looking forward to Sunday.
How important is it to bounce back?
The handful of disclosure, I took another one. Very important. Very important to get a win there this
week. Can you dwell on that? How do you put it behind your college before?
No. I mean, no. It's it's week two. We got a lot of football left. Uh you know, how are we going to respond? Probably the biggest thing. But you know, we're looking forward to this week. Uh we're preparing our butts off uh at a very high level.
What did the team notice about their practice intensity and competitive reps?
Uh today was a great example of that. Um so you know we're you know, we gotta we gotta we have a really good appointment. And uh obviously they would played in the Super Bowl last year, a lot of d uh returning players. Yeah, I Uh so you know, we gotta be on the idea.
Josh, what's team is determined to combat the pass rush by getting the ball out quick, three step drops, floating pocket and everything. How difficult is for a guy in your position to be frustrated to avoid getting frustrated?
It is I mean it's a that's a part of the it's a part of the game. Um you know, it comes with being the guys that who we are. Uh but I think the whole defense knows that. I think Camp knows that and you know, we trust our offense is gonna do what they need to do on that side of the ball. Uh we need to stop the run first and foremost, that's our main priority. Uh you know, they like to they like to be a tough physical team. And We're a tough physical team, so um, you know, we gotta do what we do best. Uh rule number one, whoop a man. And if we play with that mindset, you know, then it's gonna open up for us. So, you know, maybe it's gonna have to be a patient game. Uh, but you know, every op that I can get, I gotta take advantage of them.
If I don't get any ops, then, you know, at least I'm stopping the run, doing what I can do to affect the game in any way that I can. and Trey as well. And uh yeah, that's all I can ask for.
Speaking of run, how how dangerous or how as uh Drake may with his legs and is he similar in that sense to Bonex and what you guys prepped for?
You would you would think they would be, but they're two different people. Um two different I don't want to really want to compare those two guys because they're two different, but uh, you know, Dre does like does run a lot out the pocket. Um I feel like we I I can compare I feel like Bo tries to extend plays behind the pocket. And I think Dre steps up to run out the pocket. you know, to get yard. So we have to be very crucial on that.
Why is bouncing back from last week’s adversity considered crucial for Week 3?
Uh gotta know where he likes to step up, where he likes to scramble to. And we just gotta control him as a defensive front. Um so yeah.
On top is that we went to running back punch with steel with the push.
I mean they're a good you know, obviously last week they had a pretty solid game. Uh you know, up front we got a got a huge challenge uh uh for us this week. But um, you know, it's all about us. At the end of the day, um, you know, we know what type of game it's gonna be.
