So we are uh we got a big we got a big one this week. So uh last week the characters have been uh in the in the uh for a quick summary of where things go the characters have decided to go after one of the Morza. The Morza are the Nine Dragon Emperors, the nine dragon kings and queens who rule over the Dragon Empire. They are super powerful, they are super old, they have they have a treaty that connects them all together, uh, that ensures that they can rule over the Dragon Empire. They have a false king, uh kind of a a you know, a stage king, uh, what do they call it? Like a yeah, like a like a you know, a figurehead. They have a figurehead called the Dread Sultan who kinda speaks for them, but not really.
Everybody knows it's the Morza who rules. So the characters over the past seventy-six sessions that we've played have gone from first level to fifteenth level, and that six fifteenth level characters are making their way through the ruined city of Numera to hunt down the one of maybe the most powerful of the dragon queens, the dragon Morza, known as Lashmarak. Uh Lashmarak is down there working on an experiment, and uh they're going to See the results of that experiment today. In our last session, the characters have been making their way through the sewers, these ruined uh abysm ab abyssal sewers beneath the ruined city of la of Numeris, a subterranean city. And they're doing it to avoid the ghost walkers who are who worship Lashmarak as a goddess.
And uh it was easier to go that way. They ran into this, they fought some Abyssal horrors, some some some uh nasty monsters uh called chasmal horrors, defeated them without too too much difficulty. They used banish on one and got rid of it. The other one they beat down and then they fled before the other one returned from being banished and fled down the sewers. They then ran into a pack of ghouls that were busy chewing on a bunch of sacrificed bodies. And uh one of the characters, uh our our our cleric um Nulla recognized that one of those ghouls is not dead. That that ghoul's alive. And uh they met uh so they defeated the other ghouls, they went to the one who's Not dead and said, Who the hell are you?
And he said, My name's Cecil Gentlefang. I'm an anthropologist. And they're like, Are you kidding me? He goes, No, I've been hanging out with the Ghostwalkers. They're a fascinating race. You should really they're a fascinating group and and and rich culture and all this stuff. He's like, You were down here with ghouls.
