and welcome. Buckle up. We're on a good news train today. We've got tourism back, immigration up, services sector expanding, fast track getting changed, milk price could well rise more. Sean White, the snowboarding goatee's with us after eight. Captain Field End of Brady in as well. Welcome to the day, seven past six. So, looks like we started a debate yesterday at last over debt. The Prime Minister after cabinet at his press conference referenced debt and its issues. This is part of the government's ongoing campaign to worry us about what a change of government might lead to in terms of borrowing and taxing. Trouble is, they're not blameless. And questions were asked by the press yesterday, God bless them, over what really is fiscal hypocrisy.
The real story out of London. Last week's MSD nonsense, right? Was the bulk of people affected were supernutents getting heating payments. It doesn't matter how wealthy those supernutents are, they still get money. How does a government that is one worried about debt and two is still running a deficit justify millionaires getting welfare? The Prime Minister leapt into Labour as well, he might, over their free GP visits that come out of the capital gains tax, and that too is a joke. Millionaires, whether they need it or not. Wanted getting visits to the doctor paid for by others. It's absurd, but no more absurd than millionaires getting heating bills paid for. The press, God bless them, also asked about the money we don't have not being gathered on the petrol excise next year.
Once again, millionaires getting cheaper petrol. So this government are hypocrites. They are money wasters and they're fiscal slackers. They say one thing to another. Now, to a degree, they are not. The better of the two options. The left, of course, are far worse, but that does not excuse slackness of any order. In a world where you have just stood there and lectured us on the perils of debt. And the best you can do, when asked about free money for people who don't need it, is go, It's a decision we've made. Yes, it is, but that's not saying anything. And more importantly, it doesn't justify it. One of the great failures, in my humble opinion, of this government is failing. failing to get back to surplus the way they said they would.
The left you don't expect a lot, the right you do, because they parade the credentials as fiscal experts. In tight times, in a world of rising debt, I expect better. The red flags are waving, and the people who claim to know how to run an economy are still borrowing to keep the lights on.

Just personally, I feel a little bit weird about the fact that you have so many frontier AI tech companies kind of coming to the government and begging the government to regulate them. It feels a little bit to me like a bit of a Trojan horse.

In Britain they got their own angst government very worried about all that money reform got given.
When these reform donors say they want nothing, they mean it. No workers' rights, no renters' rights. And if Farage will do you a cameo for £70, just ask yourself what he'd do for £70 million.

Maybe the government minister this morning has got it wrong, or maybe they're planning to change the rules in a retrospective, very un British way that I think voters would then see what this dictatorial government is up to, which is basically trying to prevent any competition.
