As ever. Can I just tell you really quickly, loving your Ashton Kutcher coverage. You know, when they ask us who the worst person we've ever interviewed was or the rudest person you've ever met with was Ashton is always my answer. Ashton is always my answer. It was during a junket for some movie he did with Katherine Heigl. And I was very new to entertainment news. I was so thrilled to interview him because at the time he was like the king of Twitter and he was just cool. And he defeated me to the point where I thought, I don't think I should pursue this anymore. He was so mean spirited and rude that I walked away from that wondering if I should continue to pursue this as a career.
Do you remember exactly what happened or what he said that just sort of really wounded a bit?
I went in there with a lot of energy expecting the person that we see on TV on like Punk'd. You remember he was fun and big energy and he sat back in his junket chair and just shot me down. Every time I tried to pull something fun out of him, he just shot it down to the point where I was like, Does he hate his life? You know, when you just get the feeling that they don't want to talk to you, that they don't want to be there and they don't want to talk to you. So it wasn't anything specific that he said. He just made me feel very small and like he wanted to be anywhere but there.
You know, I hate hearing stories like that because for one thing, celebrities who are that experienced can tell when an entertainment reporter who is new is coming in, who is sort of new to the field, who is a little bit green, who might have a little bit of nervous or excitement, nervous energy or excited energy, right? And he's probably sat there. I can imagine the body language. I can imagine the affect and just acting like he was too good to be there and too good to answer whatever questions you were throwing his way.
