Chapter 1: What led to the discussion about trading T.J. Watt?
This is incorpulent, Bob.
And I don't even know what that word means. But it feels that way to me. No more Tua in Miami. What a disaster that was. Who do you think picks him up? Anybody?
Tua? To me, it would be as a backup, I suppose. But, you know, I don't know. I think Kyler Murray's going to be the quarterback first off the board, followed by Willis. I think when Murray became available, a lot of teams see a lot of value. Not just his talent. He's put it out there. It's been on display for a while, but also at $1.3 million. It's worth that risk for a lot of teams.
What was that, Bob?
That was my phone. What if he goes and plays for the St. Louis Battlehawks, Bob?
That's always possible at this point. That's in the UFL. Back to Max Crosby for a second. And I want to gauge Steelers fans' mindsets on TJ Watt. If that dude gets two first-round picks, it just seems logical that TJ would get you one. But he's younger. He's younger. That's why he'd only get half as much. Right. But T.J. can still get after the quarter.
I still think he has good football left in him.
He's going to be very motivated this year to come out and have a good year. So, yeah, I think if that's something they would consider, that first round is not unlikely. I think that's probably the most reasonable price you would get.
So would you be open to that as a Steeler fan? I'm always curious about T.J., Because when I go into places like the Rally House, Bob, do you know how to sing that song?

Chapter 2: How does Maxx Crosby's trade impact T.J. Watt's value?
I thought it was a 50-50 split based on the shows we do and people calling in, that people would be okay with that and then others would not.
Well, let's put it out there. Can you, Bob, or can I have limits do it and you retweet them since you have a million followers? He can do that. Would you trade T.J. Watt for a first-round pick, period, end of story? That's what I think the question should be. How would you phrase it, O Limitless Wonder?
I agree, and that's how I'll phrase it and tweet it and tag you guys. I'm sure you have people on the lines who want to talk about that, perhaps. No?
But you will be. 928-9370. Listen to the Pomp and Joe show every Wednesday to hear about Starkey's Card of the Week from the Baseball Card Castle in Cranberry. Contests run every Wednesday through Friday at noon at the 937thefan.com contesting page. Sunny today and a high of LC Greenwood 68. A low of Minka 39. He got traded to the Jets today.
For a seventh round pick. For a seventh round pick. Which is fine, but then giving him $40 million on a new deal is... What was it?
Three years, $40 million? Fan weather brought to you by Secure Money Advisors. Looking to retire soon? Let Secure Money Advisors get your retirement on track. I wonder if that changed because we mentioned Ron so much or because it's nicer out now, Bob. So it's no longer really applicable. Like what about Florida because of the winter weather?
Yeah, but Florida is still understood to be that place that you want to go to get away from. Oh, my gosh. Whatever bad weather there is.
I want to go play golf in Florida right now, actually. You?

Chapter 3: What are Steelers fans' opinions on trading T.J. Watt?
I'm chomping at the bit to do that. Did you play this weekend? No. Why?
Two playable days.
You should have invited me to Chartiers. Chartiers is not open yet, so we can't do it. I think the opening up there for members is the third day of the draft on April 25th.
Then you'll take me then.
Yeah, we will. We'll play. I've got to play more. I think I'm wasting money if I don't play, and I've spent a lot of time wasting money. That's not good. Do we all agree that the Ravens made a good deal here? Yes, I think it was a very good deal. It's the one thing they needed, they got. They were willing to sacrifice some money, or some picks, I mean. Bottom line is... That's a weakness.
Now it may be a strength. And at the cost of $29 million a year, if you put it in the scope of Miles Garrett, T.J. Watt, and maybe what Hendrickson may be looking for, $29 million a year sounds like pretty reasonable for a guy who's going to generate a lot of pressure. It was a stunner.
I'll tell you that. And I think it absolutely makes the Ravens maybe a prohibitive favorite in the division. I mean, let's be honest, Bob. They would have won the division last year if not for two crappy, maybe three crappy calls in Baltimore and a missed chip shot field goal here.
And a collapse in Buffalo. I mean, they just killed themselves is what they did last year.
4-1-2, 9-2-8, 93-70. You look at that Crosby deal. Does it make you wonder if TJ could get a first-round pick from one of these desperate teams, I would think? Would you trade him in division if you got a first-round pick? No.

Chapter 4: What factors influence the decision to trade T.J. Watt?
I would think about it because their pick is pretty solid. What, like 12th, I think?
They're right in that range? I would want their next year's pick. Yeah, the one trade I saw rumored on Yahoo was for a 27 first-round pick. I'd do that.
I would do that.
I just want the best deal, Bob. I don't care if it's in division or not.
Yeah, Cincinnati's picking 10th. If you acquired that pick, you're basically picking Caleb Downs, potentially. Wouldn't you want to take Caleb Downs? I don't know that you'd get that. Jordan Tyson or Denzel Boston?
This year's 10th pick. But maybe. They might be desperate enough to throw something else in there.
They have no one on defense. I just want to know what the Steelers are going to do.
Seriously, they're not signing Henderson back. They let go of Pratt. Who is on that defense that's any good? That's their problem.
The Bills and Bears would step up and give up a first for TJ, I believe. I think both would, but they both were in the hunt for Max Crosby. And Dallas is another team. Oh, would they ever. Dallas made a couple of inquiries about them, and they would be willing to give you things, I bet.

Chapter 5: What could the Steelers gain from trading T.J. Watt?
Yeah. Would you trade T.J. Watt for a first-round pick? How many people are saying yes to that, Bob? Well, it only has 31 votes right now.
I just put it out there a minute ago. It has 60 votes and 84% say yes. 84%.
Penguins Jesus said he'd drive him to the airport, Bob. T.J. Watt. What a conversation that would be. They could talk about the Penguins trade deadline moves, right?
Our friend Chris on Twitter says, I can't imagine voting no to this. Our friend Steve on Twitter says, only problem is nobody in their right mind is giving up a first for him.
Yeah, but I disagree with that.
We just saw two go for Max Crosby.
It might be next year's first. Somebody asked you that in 26 or 27. Perhaps you could amend the question, would you trade T.J. Watt for a first-round pick, even if it's a future first-round pick, oh limitless wonder. But that's, Bob, that's the interesting thing to me here. And I learned this during his contract squabble. That while he's obviously, here's the conclusion I come to. That T.J.
Watt, to the people he's popular with, he's wildly popular. And radically, incredibly popular. But there are a lot of people who would be fine with him being gone. I can't come to any other conclusion. And that would have been last year. I think the majority of people did not want to pay him that money. And they look right. Don't they? Right about now? They look like they were right.
I didn't want to pay him that money either. I would have traded him.
