What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
This is Triple M's Rush Hour. The Penrite Oil. 100 years still driven.
JB and Billy started strong. Oh, well, we're off to a crouching start. That's exactly jumped out of the block. And they've only gotten better. We're crawling to the line. We're not resting to take you. So Triple M's Rush Hour is taking a bye. I'll have a spell. Have a spell, Matt. And instead, we give you the best of JB and Billy. Do you reckon anyone on any other show is rolling with this sort of stuff? It's the Rush Hour's mid-season break.
I feel good! On Triple M.
We've had so much fun this week looking back at our favourite moments from 2026. As JB always says, it just goes to show why our ratings are so high. In this hour, JB and Bill reflect on some of the most potty-mouthed guests we've had on this show. And we get a call from South Australian cricketer Nathan McAndrew just a couple of hours after they won back-to-back Sheffield Shield titles. And stay tuned for a little cameo appearance from Jake Fraser-McGurk as well.
We'll take a look at a hilarious ice bucket challenge from the footy show days that went completely wrong. Plus, we get a massive Billy Brownless idiot file. But first, let's go back to when champion jockey Glenn Boss joined the show and Billy had a little quiz for him. Boss, are you ready? Yep.
I'm not sure, but I'm ready. Yeah, I suppose I'm ready.
It's called the Glenn Boss Quiz. Oh, my God. The Glenn Boss Quiz.
How did you think of that, Bill? How many hours, Bill, did you have to do?
Now, I think you've ridden 18,906 starts you've had across your racing career, 18,900, 19,000 starts, 2,500 wins. But I'm going to ask you, right, a question. I'll give you three horses, and you're going to tell me which horse you rode. See if you really do love your horses. Do you get it? No.
I'm nervous, but anyway.
Righto. It's your show, Bill. Did you ride A, toothpaste, B, hairbrush, or C, shampoo? Bossy? No. Eh? No. Yes, you did. I haven't ridden any of them. Hairbrush you rode in Canterbury Race 2. He's not going to remember everybody.
What did Nathan McAndrew say after South Australia's Sheffield Shield victory?
In 2019, not that long ago, Hairbrush.
That's the worst name for a horse I've ever heard in my life. I bet you it ended up dying a maiden.
No.
It would be no good.
It'd come 12th out of 13. But anyway. They killed it with its name. Question two. Did you ride I Am Aces, I Am Bonza, or I Am Grouse? I Am Aces? No, I am Grouse at Bendigo. This is heading down the worst list ever.
What are some memorable moments from the Footy Show?
It's real bad. All right. Captain Fancy Pants, Mr. Silly Sausage, or Dr. Giggle Goose?
Look at this. Silly Sausage sounds weird, but I'll go with Silly Sausage.
No!
Bossy, one more. I'll tell you what.
What was Billy's horse racing quiz for Glen Boss like?
You've got to get this one. Tricky Dicky. Have you made this up? No, look, it's fair dinkum. You rode Captain Fancy Pants at Caulfield, by the way, in January 2014. This is the last one. Tricky Dicky, Spanky Hanky, or Cocky Rocky? This is the worst.
Horrific.
Hey, when do I exit this thing? When do I push it in? This is the worst. Cocky Rocky in Coffs Harbour. Cocky Rocky. Can't you remember these horses? No. No. All of them bar one ran at provincial race courses, Bill, and none of them won a race.
Bossy's not going to remember them.
You know what happens when you name a horse with a stupid name like that? You guarantee that horse is not going to win a race.
This is the Rush Hours mid-season break. Back soon with more of the best from JB and Billy. We're about to speak to this man. Hit it, please, Rabbits. Bowden! Oh, that's a big one. It's that man again, Nathan McAndrew, a third wicket. It is 50 to Nathan McAndrew. Raise the bat. Wonderful innings from Nathan McAndrew.
Bowden! Got him! Sheffield Shield champions.
That's it, bud. Look at you. That's it, bud. You didn't even show any interest. You gave them nothing on the Saturday rub. I said they can win it from here. You said no, they can't. Back to back. Cop that fat. I've got my man on, Nathan McAndrew, player of the match. Yes. And he is just getting nicely warmed up too. Nathan, welcome to you, mate. Congratulations. Thanks, guys. Thanks for having us on.
What a performance.
This is a player of the match, Fat.
