Yeah, we're picture perfect. Perfect. There was a well-played game. Goaltending was great at both ends. Obviously, a lot of goalposts. teams that couldn't capitalize on power play, big problems for Montreal, especially when they had that opportunity in overtime. Not a lot to fault. I mean, I thought everybody played well for both teams. Very physical. This is where your depth really matters. I'd be shocked if Dobson doesn't come in for game seven if he can. I think Tampa might be hoping they can maybe do some roster juggling as well. There's not a lot left for either one of these teams. They're worn out, Matt. You could see it. You really could. Yeah, it really felt like they left really everything on the ice in that first period.
I mean, I think the broadcast said that the Montreal Canadiens had 28 hits in the first period, and you just knew. You knew as exciting of a period as it was, you just can't sustain that level of play and physicality for 60 minutes. No, look, there's a lot to like there. I know the fans are upset because a team lost and they have to go play game seven. I get it. It's all part of the process. At one point in the playoffs, every single round, you're going to have to slay the dragon. So this is a dragon Montreal has to go and try and slay. They got to win for a third time down in Tampa in this playoff season. That's all. I mean, is it hard? Yeah, it's really hard. But can they do it? Yeah, they can do it. They've already done it.
The only thing I'd say is I wish they weren't as reckless with the puck and the power play as they were. You know, it was like too cute. There's too many saucer passes, too many backhand flips, you know, too much passing off. We've talked about this before. Hard plays on net would be better, Matt. It just didn't happen tonight. So they go down, they got to play game seven. Yeah, and one of the players who, in the first period, struggled, and then as the game went on, he was just flying out there, was Lane Hudson. They showed pictures of him during the national anthem, taking deep breaths, look of concern on his face, kind of struggled, and then he got it together, and then he was Lane Hudson.
