And coming up on the show today, we have lots of drama, lots of lovely moments, lots of pretty dresses from the VMAs that were held yesterday. So we're gonna get into that. Plus, we're gonna go through all the Easter eggs of Taylor Swift's new music video. We haven't even discussed it yet. No. I don't know if you loved it or you hated it or what your thoughts are. We're gonna get into That plus, just to break up all the music news, we've got um two stars of a new TV show coming up at the end of this. Um I think everyone will be very obsessed with this show when they watch it. Plus, I am very obsessed with these actors, particularly one.
I'll tell you a little story of my breakdown prior to this interview. Um, because that's always fun. So that's coming up on the show today. Shall we just jump straight into some VMAs? Yes.
Who won big at the VMAs, and what were the night’s biggest highlights?
Let's do it. So the VMAs took place um Sunday LA time. Obviously, that's Monday for us. And as we said in our show yesterday, we were just letting we were letting the show happen before we chatted about it. So we could bring you the biggest moments. Um, the biggest winner of the night, Madonna. Madonna. Madonna. And that feels right. Yeah. I feel after the year she's had. She took home seven prizes. Huge. I always forget that like with the VMAs, you can just walk out with like two arms full of those little spaceman statues. Yeah. It's not like the Oscars where you it's one and that's pretty much it, or you can get away with. She took home seven awards. We'll get to one of her acceptance speeches later. Um, of course, the next big winner was Taylor Swift.
She accepted the first ever artist director's honor. Yes. Yes. Which is a new award with was it made for? I reckon. Kind of. We kind of invented an award together. It's gonna be a thing that's gonna be handed out more as more artists direct their music videos, which I know a lot of them have in the past. Mm-hmm. But she won for um the fate of Ophelia, right?
Right? Well sh yes. So she won the Fate of Ophelia like video of the year award. Yes. And then she also won like a brand new award that is fake. But they're gonna keep doing it from now on. I think so, yeah. But it was one of those things like which I like about it's like how the Oscars is kind of bringing in fun categories sometimes. Like they're just like, we kind of want to award these people. Let's do it.

success is the nicer way to put it. I guess because they wanna be able to have the biggest movie of the year, the cast there, but they won't always win the acting category.
Yeah. You want them there. So it makes sense. So it makes sense.
We've so we've got all those moments. Um okay, before we get into more um of the awards tonight, because there's a few more to say about all those ladies who won. Do we want to do some um red carpet dresses? Yeah. Because that's fun. The VMAs is fun too, because people um they go a bit more risque than other award shows. So
where some of like the most iconic celebrity red carpet looks have come from, for sure.
And while this year I don't know if we had a standout look, because it kind of like maybe a hangover from the Emmys where everyone was kind of dressed very simple, very Jimuel, very the same. I feel like the VMAs have also become less of a red carpet risk like they were back in the day.
