And I'm Ryan and Lambert. And after a decade in this industry, Ella and I both know how overwhelming and confusing this space has become to navigate, and that's why we're here with our podcast to cut through the noise and make healthier living simple, fun and personal.

This is such a jam-packed episode re. We have got to get through so much states, so much juicy stuff. I'm so excited. I just have to preface, guys. Unfortunately, my eldest guy is really poorly. She's very, very high temperature and tons lighters. So we were meant to be in person. Um, but we're not, we're online, and I have got her in bed next to me, tucked up with her bunny. I always have my windows open to help cool us all down. So if you hear a little bird cheeping, cheeping, chirping. Singing general merriment in the background, or there is a lane near us, a little car passing, or a gentle snuffle from her. I'm really sorry. This is just, you know, the forever juggle of trying to be a great mum and also
Rhiannon Lambert 1:37
Do a job that I love. Oh no. I mean, I think um we'll fool you in in a minute on what we've been up to, but there's been a lot going on, I think. This time of year is always full of um, I think massive ups, downs and also seasonal bugs that come and go. And Ella, I'm very open to the occasional bird song and things in the background. So, you know, let's embrace it. Uh let's tell everyone what we've got coming up in today's show.
Ella Mills 2:00
Okay, not to be dramatic, guys, but should you bin all of your supplements? We have Rhea's vitamin D update that we promised. The surprising new ways to feed your gut, our sweetness really safe, why reading could protect your brain and the amazing tricks behind journaling. And a very clever campaign getting kids to eat the rainbow. We also have an update on how many junk food ads everyone saw during the World Cup. And I am still seeing ferritin face everywhere.
Rhiannon Lambert 2:24
Absolutely everywhere. Since we discussed it, I'm exactly the same. Um so Ella, before we um get started, 'cause I know we've also got some good listener feedback actually in our Monday episode today. Um you've had a really heavy week or two, haven't you?
Ella Mills 2:39
Yeah, so I said my dog was really poorly. He unfortunately passed away last week, so yeah, ten days or so before this comes out. So it's been yeah, a tough time. And then just after that, this guy got really sick with a really bad battle of tonsillitis. So we're probably not winning the last few days. But there we go. That's life. It's ups and downs. Um and actually I'm sleeping really well again, so I feel like I can handle it all. I feel like when you're not sleeping, life is hard to handle.
Rhiannon Lambert 3:10
Yeah, I know, it really is. But that we're all really sorry, Ella. It's I think anybody that knows grief and has had a pet pass away as well will definitely be thinking of you right now and understands that it's just it's part of your family. It it literally is like part of your family. And it's waking up to a completely new family dynamic each morning, which you've not had before, let alone telling the girls he was over.
Ella Mills 3:35
The noisiest dog. He liked talked. He literally would just like talk to us through the houses. So quiet. The other two dogs were so quiet comparatively. But anyway, I did see, as I said at the top, Ferritin face though, Ray, on a different note. Literally everywhere. The Guardian, yes, say I saw had a piece of ferritin face. The new health scare taking social media by storm. Seeing a pallid, washed out face in the mirror prepare to be diagnosed.
Rhiannon Lambert 3:57
Do you know what's so interesting is I'm now seeing um even TV shows, uh almost like the same concept of the wellness scoop, you know, cropping up everywhere and lots of people talking.
