And wait till you see the video. I'm going to play it for you guys. But it's not just that he's saying outright, I love Republicans. I love Trump. He's saying, look, there were some great policies from Democrats. There were some great policies from Republicans. But I'm going to go and push back a little bit. In all honesty, I think that Bill Maher is trying to tone things down. He's trying to get the crazy to stop. But the reality is, I personally am not going to give this credit to the Democrats. Bill Maher's argument is that Joe Biden pushed for more Narcan, which it blocks the opiate receptors.
So if you're overdosing on some kind of opiate, heroin in particular, or fentanyl, it keeps you alive. But Narcan is just for... overdosing on opiates. It's not going to do anything about meth or cocaine. And all of this drug use is going way down. Now, first and foremost, that credit goes to the Trump administration, not necessarily Trump personally, but all the efforts we've seen in securing the border and dealing with criminal drug traffickers and human traffickers, etc. I certainly want to give praise to Democrats on trying to get more Narcan out there. The opioid epidemic is not some street level gangbanger pandemic. I don't want to call it. It is affecting everybody. And we're seeing a lot of white working class people, particularly in West Virginia, overdosing.
They've got these Kratom stores everywhere. They're trying to get people to get off these opiates, get off these pills. Narcan can save your life now. Credit where credit is due, but that's one small element. And so, again, I'm not here to rag on Democrats for doing something good. I'm just saying when it comes to all drugs across the board, the point being made by Bill Maher is a bit lacking because I think he's trying to get Democrats to chill out. And so you got to understand from a sales perspective. Me coming out and being brutally honest and saying, yeah, it's good that they did the Narcan thing, not the principal contributing factor to the decline in drug related deaths and crime. That's primarily going to come from stopping the drug trade, the cartels, et cetera.
And that's the bulk of that's going to the Republicans and the Trump administration. Democrats are going to get mad. OK, they don't like Trump. They don't want to hear it. So what Bill Maher is doing is he's doing the soft. He's taking a soft approach. And so I know a lot of conservatives are going to rebut and they're going to say the same thing I'm saying. But I'm going to I'm going to break it down for you. Why Bill Maher is saying the things that he's saying overplaying Narcan is because he wants to say, guys, when we work together, we do good things. And he is correct. Now, for some reason, Donald Trump's been ragging on him. Trump came out this morning saying Bill Maher's ratings are so bad, he can't believe he's still on TV.
And guys, yeah. I mean, Bill Maher's ratings are relatively down. And it's pretty – and I'm not trying to rag on Bill because I'm a fan. But everybody's ratings are down, which brings me to the next big point in this morning's opening segment. The Boomer mortality cliff is rapidly upon us. Guys, you want something crazy? Did you know that the average Gen Xer and Boomer is a millionaire? I'm not kidding. Now, of course, don't get me wrong. This means that there's a lot of really, really rich boomers and Gen Xers and poor. And the average comes out to a million dollars. But that's still crazy. That's still absolutely insane. Boomer average net worth is one point six million dollars and Gen Xer is one point oh six million dollars.
How could the Boomer mortality cliff reshape wealth and politics?
Isn't that crazy? Well, there's around 24 million millionaires. And considering the fact that there's around 120 million Gen Xers and boomers, the math ain't math and all that much. The reason I bring this up is to point out things are going to rapidly and massively change in the next four or so years because baby boomers are at 80 years old.
