Yeah, so we uh it just worked out that uh we were in Sydney last week and uh we knew we'd gonna be together here this week, so we thought we'd bring you the podcast, tell you all about everything that's happening in uh Meta Connect and all all the announcements. So this it's funny, you were here for Apple, what, two weeks ago? A week and a half ago? Yeah, it's like you were yesterday.
It really does. That the hotel room looks the same and everything. And you're
back again. How does your body go with all the traveling, mate? You must be a veteran now, like traveling. You don't get I don't get jet lag, you don't get jet lager.
I think we find our coping mechanisms, you know, you have your your coffee and your melatonin and your your sunlight and your Melatonin. So
you have that to sleep on the plane, do you? Yeah,
definitely d on the plane and then when I'm every night that I'm here until I can do it on my own. It's not falling asleep, it's staying asleep. That's the tricky bit. Like I can fall asleep, that's fine, but it's Well mate, I was across the
aisle from you over on the way over and mate. You were sacked out solid for hours. I think you banked a good sleep. That was a
melatonin sleep, I knew I I was
gonna need it. That's the plan, innit? That's the plan. That's awesome. All right, mate, let's get on with this.

the guest act uh and one of the we we did we we were here as guests at Meta and we we we did we did meet a lot of the MetaComs team from all around the c all around the world, like from India and and the UK and uh they were great hosts. So uh thanks to them. Absolutely really really good. The event is well as I say you've
been here before, so how did this compare to last year
and was
it what
you expected?
Yeah. Well look, it's I it is, I guess first and foremost, it's it's uh more of a developer's conference. So they they kind of get their whole team and staff together and and celebrate and and talk about what they're doing, what's coming up. So I think there's a lot of other things that we don't see as press that go on behind the scenes. Um a lot of plans come to fruition. There's a lot of maybe, you know, some pat on the backs and that kind of thing, some acknowledgment. So it was um look, I I think this year I think the announcements are are probably more relevant to everyday people. Um there's a lot of a lot of uh I guess a bit of controversy out there right now around privacy and I think it's it's good timing.
Yeah. Um it's also an opportunity I guess for Meta to I guess take uh the lead in the conversation about privacy because obviously they're creating wearable devices and and we can go into that.
