Chapter 1: Are we too old to be 'cool' anymore?
What?
Maybe you have the answer to them. Jules, maybe you have the answer. Why does iced coffee taste so different between coffee shops? Like I get a cold brew and some cold brews I love and others I hate.
Because they're different types like the bean. It's the same thing as hot coffee. It's a different kind of bean.
Well, sometimes it's cold brew and sometimes it's iced coffee.
So is that what it is?
Like cold brew versus hot brewed iced. Coffee that they make cold.
So I need to start clarifying, is it iced coffee or is it cold brew? And maybe I don't like cold brew and I only like iced coffee.
Most of the time they'll say though, you say, can I have an iced coffee? And they'll say, do you mean cold brew?
Okay. Because I really like the Swedish Hill iced coffee slash cold brew, whatever they sell. But like this is from Two Hands and it just tastes like extremely bitter.

Good. When, when we had our office on Venice, I would go to this coffee shop. Um, it was beside our office. Our office was 11 Brooks Ave. One of my favorites offices that we've ever had. And the coffee shop there was amazing. Oh, I'd love to shut them out, but I forget.
I know the name, but I forget it too. Oh, that's going to drive me crazy.
It was so good. I think if I just pull it up, I'll just pull up the office address.
Okay. Well, one thing, one thing I'll say about Venice is I never realized that Venice in California has canals just like it. Is it named after the Venice in Europe?

Chapter 3: What does Alex mean when she says she's 'good with anything' for dinner?
They're insanely cool, but I don't think a lot of, like people think Abbot Kinney when they think Venice, California. They don't think the canal streets.
Yeah. Venice has a really great run club too. It's like massive. Maybe we can find a video that we can put up. The run club starts by running through the canals. And you like take over the canals. The cars can't move. It's like really awesome.

that would be hilarious if that was the case um okay okay so what were we talking about i don't know but i loved what it was but all i know oh i want to get a better vocab okay not a better vocabulary a younger vocab like i want to say like that's so dope or cap um Because I don't want to be so aged out of what the cool kids are saying.

I've tried. What are some words you've tried? Well, I'm invested in this restaurant called Giada. Also have a Venice location. And these guys, they're just like the epitome of cool. When I talk to them, I feel like an ultra nerd. And their vocabulary is as...
It's edgy. Is that the word?
Young and hip. Whatever way I would describe it would make me seem lame and they'd have a different way to describe it. But every time we talk to them, I try and incorporate the word cap into the conversation. I just don't know how to do it. So now I've been signing off on my emails with them where I'll just write cap at the end. Oh, no, not cap. It's not cap. It's one of the other ones.
Oh, no. Harrison, this is so embarrassing. What's the other word?
Chapter 9: How long do we plan to stay in this house?
Oh, bet. Bet. They always say bet. I'm like, dude, what the fuck? We're not betting. We're not betting. We're talking sandwiches. Yeah, they're the coolest. Also make the best sandwich in L.A. And to be fully, you know, in the business of disclosure, yes.

If we're going to get real for a second, I think that these guys have the ability to go and become the next Jersey Mike's. Their sandwiches are unbelievable. I think the way Sweetgreen built their brand around salads, I think they have that same opportunity in sandwiches. And it's a great experience. It's a great sandwich. They're building it behind a strong product, a really good brand.
