Chapter 3: How did food poisoning impact our babymoon experience?
We landed from Miami at 530. The plan was we were going to come to the studio, we were going to record, but I food poisoning. I don't know what I had, whatever I had was preventative of that because it was, it was still lingering last night. Like it wasn't lingering in this. Like I have definitely stopped throwing up far 48 hours ago, the body ache of it all. And I think that's pregnancy.
So I was just like, if I record it, I was talking like this. So we didn't do, we didn't record last night. We were going to record this morning. And then this morning I, we will explain it later in the episode, our sweet little bubber. She took a little tumble. She's got a little splint on.
Chapter 4: Is food poisoning worse for pregnant individuals?
It's our first injury, um, for our girl and first trip to the ER. And I know, I know all parents listening to this, you're probably like been there a million times.
Chapter 5: What is the BRAT diet and how did it help us recover?
It's still hard as a parent. It's sad. Um, So we got that taken care of, and now here we are. We're recording the episode, and we've got a lot of good things to talk about.
Yeah? Yeah. Okay. You just want to dive into it? Let's do it.
Chapter 6: Is automatic gratuity fair in restaurants?
Okay. First of all, if you're listening, thank you for listening, and please subscribe to the podcast and send it to a friend if you want. We met a lot of you in Miami.
Chapter 7: Are Miami's prices really as unhinged as they seem?
Yeah.
Didn't think I was going to see, like, we went to Charleston one time and met a lot of podcast listeners. And that made sense to me. South Beach, not where I was thinking I was going to find the parent crowd. But turns out it was East Coast winter break.
Yeah, can we get like a double check on that? It was like fully a holiday going on down there.
It was. And when we got to the hotel, we got there, we got to the hotel around 1230.
Chapter 8: Is it acceptable to save pool chairs at hotels?
And we're like, hey, can we just like get on the list for early check-in? And they were like- No, like we don't have a room available.
So I think three things were going on. I think there was a food and wine show. Yes. There was a boat show. Yes. And I think there was some like school break going on.
There had to have been a winter break.
From New York. Like the pool was full of kids.
Were people getting out before that gigantic snowstorm? With their kids, skipping school?
Maybe. There was a lot of people. I heard multiple people talking about, and we talked to one of our friends, too, who extended their flight till Wednesday because of the next layer of storm coming. We probably saw 100 people from New York.
I don't know because the break was the 16th. Was last week. Yeah. But that's confusing because this was the weekend of the 20th.
Maybe they stayed. I don't know. It was hopping. Miami was hopping. But I love hopping. And we just had an unusual amount of people, of kids, I would say.
Yeah.
