What are the benefits of having parent friends during pregnancy?

Alex Bennett 0:00
Okay.
Unknown 0:01
We're good.
Harrison Fugman 0:02
Okay. Alex, are you on your phone?
Alex Bennett 0:07
I was posting a story. Perfect.
Unknown 0:10
Saying we're recording.
Alex Bennett 0:10
And maybe... Oh, Harrison's phone's in a great place. Harrison's phone is in a great place.
Harrison Fugman 0:14
You know, I have noticed... Maybe his Apple Watch. ...that my shorts... that I've been wearing, those Elwood shorts that I love, they really hike up quite a bit when I record. So they may not be recording shorts anymore. I'm shocked that no one's commented. You see my thigh almost up to my butt.

How are we preparing for baby #2's arrival?

Unknown 0:34
They can't be commenting that.

What are our Easter weekend plans?

Harrison Fugman 0:36
Yes, you can.
Unknown 0:37
That's grounds for cancellation. You couldn't comment on a woman's body.

What is the most effective tip for weaning a toddler off the pacifier?

Unknown 0:40
You can't comment on a man's.
Harrison Fugman 0:41
You can comment if a man is showing too much leg. I think I'm showing too much leg in those shorts.
Unknown 0:45
No, people comment that I'm showing too much belly and I want them all to be quiet.
Harrison Fugman 0:49
If I'm showing too much leg, I want to know that from everyone, okay? Commentators as well as the people in this room.
Unknown 0:57
It's commenters.

How does the 'Where's Jessica?' technique help with toddler tantrums?

Unknown 0:58
Taters.

What is Harrison's strategy for the HYROX race?

Unknown 0:59
You always call them commentators. I want you to wear shorter shorts. I think you have pretty legs. I think you wear these low baggy shorts. My old shorts are very short. No, they're not. They're not very short. They're average.
Harrison Fugman 1:14
I'm happy with the length of these shorts.
Unknown 1:16
Yeah, your high rock shorts.

Should you share your fitness goals out loud for motivation?

Unknown 1:17
Are those your high rock shorts?
Harrison Fugman 1:18
No, these are Lulu's.
Unknown 1:19
Okay, let's start. Ready? Are you ready? Mm-hmm.

What extracurricular activities are best for toddlers?

Unknown 1:23
Okay. Welcome back to another episode of Two Parents in a Podcast. I have to say I love recording the day that things drop because I just posted an Insta story and I'm like, we'll just talk to you around 4 p.m. today. So it's like very IRL. Yeah, it really is. Harrison came from a workout class. He's on, you're just on a full health kick, yeah?
Harrison Fugman 1:41
Yeah, yeah.
Unknown 1:43
Is that accurate to say about you? I would say you're dialed in.
Harrison Fugman 1:46
I'm focused on getting in the best possible place health-wise that I can before the little guy comes.
Unknown 1:54
Must be nice, huh? No, I'm just kidding. I'm not.
Harrison Fugman 1:57
Yeah, I don't want to say that.
Unknown 1:58
No, with Tate, I really struggled with that. I was like, you're just getting in. And I don't know why. Like, I should have been applauding that for you. But instead, I was like, you can't get in such good shape because I'm just over here not getting in good shape. But what I'm doing is I'm walking every day and I feel a lot better than I did with her. So I'm happy. I'm also I need to cheerlead you doing that because it's better for the family.
Harrison Fugman 2:20
Yeah. I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I definitely feel very supported right now as I'm like, went through the quest of trying to get back in shape.
Unknown 2:32
You are very supportive.
Harrison Fugman 2:33
And the first time around, I felt guilted when I would go work out.
Unknown 2:38
Yeah.
Harrison Fugman 2:39
That's what I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to say. Am I allowed to say that?
Unknown 2:41
You are allowed to say that. And here's why.
Harrison Fugman 2:43
And I'm not mad that I felt guilted. I understood it. But that's... Yeah. It just... It felt like... Yeah.
Unknown 2:50
I felt so sick with Tate every single day that, yeah, I actually can't even justify why I was like that. That wasn't cool of me.
Harrison Fugman 2:59
It was actually postpartum, I think is what I'm referring to. And I've got to say on this note. Oh, I don't think so. Timing is such a blur.
Alex Bennett 3:09
I was going to ask you guys a question.
Harrison Fugman 3:11
Yeah.
Alex Bennett 3:12
Because like... With Tate, she was very her smallest in the fall and winter. And I feel like it's a whole different ballgame with the summer.
Unknown 3:22
Jules, it's a whole different ballgame. I'm so excited.
Harrison Fugman 3:23
I see comments of people saying the best time to have a baby is in the summer.
Unknown 3:29
No, the best time to have a baby, I have a lot of conviction on this now, is I think March or April because you have the baby and then you're not pregnant in the heat of summer, which is huge because being pregnant when it's really hot outside is the most miserable thing. It's the most miserable thing on the planet. But when you're in your third trimester during the cold months, it's great. Then you have the baby and you postpartum by the pool. And I think you can go on walks and things. And things are happy in the summer. And the vibe outside is great. People are traveling.
