It's like the woman that goes to comedy shows.
Aww.
For anything. Like, a setup to any joke about your life is going to be kind of sad. Hey, I'm single.
Aww.
Yeah. You know? No. Can you imagine a more awful comedy club person? All right. All right, let's do it. Everyone's horrific. Let's do the show. Okay. That's my pump-up speech. Good
vibes. Good vibes. Hello and welcome back to the UF Podcast. I'm Jordana Abraham.
And I am Jared Freed. It is so good to be back here with you, Jordana. We love a Friday feels. We
do. Happy Friday.
How you feeling on a Friday?
Friday. I'm feeling good. I feel like I'm back in the swing of fall. I've been kind of like looking forward to fall in a way that I have not been in previous years.
Oh, really?
I'm excited that it's fall.
I actually had the opposite feeling. I was like, I'm looking forward to fall, and I'm always looking forward to fall. I don't know if that's not the opposite feeling. I get to August 15th, and I'm like, let it happen. Let me walk outside and have a coffee and go,
hot today? Yeah.
you know, hot coffee today? Like I want, I just, I love fall. You always, you
felt that way since you were like in high school?
I love fall. Maybe, I don't know about high school. I haven't had those thoughts in a long time or felt that feeling in a long time. I'm older than you. I don't know. I just love fall so much. I think New York is like the king of fall cities. I'm happy it's here, but I always look forward to it. Maybe, you know, I like layers. Yeah.
No,
I could
see that. I feel like it's just.
What made you look forward to it, you think, this year?
I think it was like kind of like there was like a little bit of like a wistful feeling because it's like, OK, we got finally got the pool working. Pool is
Luke.
Yes. But like no real time to like like I would say busiest summer I've had. Wonderful, but busy.
I'm with you, sister.
So I'm like, I'm like with the babies and like, we could take them swimming, but they go swimming for like 15 minutes and then you have to keep them out there. And like, it's a whole process, put on the swim diaper, put on the sunscreen, take off the swim diaper, put on the other, it's like a whole, like the whole thing.
So it's just like, we
don't do it that often. And I just kind of like see the pool and I'm like, it's sort of just a reminder of like, that I just don't have much free
time. I get that.
And I think I'm like, I'm almost like, let's just fucking close this thing.
Cover this fucking pool.
So that like, I'm just in a different, we're like moving on. We're
in a different
vibe. My expectations, like the winter when I had the babies, it was like wonderful, like nothing else to do. I think summer, there's a feeling of like, I could be doing a lot more activities, like having a lot more fun. Fun. I mean, it's fun in its own way, but it's not like fun like you would traditionally think of
fun. When it's nice outside and you put down the curtains, you kind of have a feeling of like, you know, you should be maybe doing something else to take advantage of the nice day. Right. Yes.
Yeah. I want it to be I want everyone to be,
you
know, locked in.
It is not only that I am miserable, but everyone else. And
again, I'm not, it's like a miserable, but it's like, there's a little bit of a postpartum sense of like a morning of your old life or even like my old summer. Like, just like,
I won't have
as carefree of a summer as I ever had before this.
How, you know, there's a lot of postpartum talk in the air and we won't get into the specifics of why it's in the air because it's a pretty sad story. For sure, yeah. But I will say, You have a husband who's very involved and caring. Even with him being involved and caring, I guess, do you feel alone in it?
No,
I don't feel
alone in it.
I don't
feel alone. I feel like he's right there with me. And it's like, that's great because we commiserate, but we also, I mean, there's so many highs and lows. I love it. I prayed for this for so long. And I do feel like I'm almost like, there is a weird feeling of like, these are the moments that I'm going to like, I feel like I'm in the moment that I'm going to long for.
