I was actually inspired to talk about this because one of my friends recently, his birthday just passed, but he survived, you know, a lot of you guys don't know this story, but He and I kind of got into it low key. He was really, really heavily addicted to drugs and specifically like methamphetamines. And I've known him since I was, I think, eight years old or nine years old. And this dude is a homie from from, you know, he's a homie basically. And he's. He essentially would always be super down. He was super with the business, as we say. And he just fell into a lot of hardcore drugs. But, you know, there came a time and point where I got saved. And, you know, a few years after I get saved, my homies like saying the same thing, you know, like, hey, bro, I had an encounter with God.
It was crazy. And I'm like, whoa, and I'm hearing this. For the first time, I'm obviously happy because that's the homie. But he shares with me something kind of scary at first, which at that time I had already read the Bible a few times. And I've never seen this happen, but, you know, at least in the scripture. But he tells me my granny visits me every night. And she's been visiting me every night at a specific time, always at that time, not a minute later, she's visiting me. And I'm like, okay, what does she say to you? And right there, you know, I'm thinking like in the scripture, there's this thing called familiar spirits. So there will be demons who will transform themselves into to be like your grandparent or your kid or your ex that passed away or your brother or family member.
It's called a familiar spirit, someone you're familiar with. You know, he started to say that she would guide him to so many things, like telling him to quit drinking, quit smoking, quit doing the meth. told her to find told him to find a church. And, you know, everything kind of looked on the up. So at that time, I wasn't as good at heart gaining as I am now. So I just kind of told him straight up like, hey, homie, like, respectfully, that's not what it says in the Bible. And then when I said that to him, he got mad. He's like, what do you mean? And I'm like, well, there's this thing called familiar spirits. And then he cut me off and he's like, hey, are you trying to say that that's not my granny or what?
And I was like, yeah. You know, I just kept it real with him. I was like, yeah, it's not your granny, bro. That's actually like a demon. And he's like, what? And he got mad. He's like, man, you think you're all that? You know what I mean? You're like a goat. You're not the only one that has a holy goat.
