Oh. Hey everybody, welcome to Unlocking the Magic. You're listening to episode number 544. And today we are talking about something I think every traveler or Disney fan experiences eventually. The more trips you take, the more your opinions might evolve, and things you swore you'd never do suddenly become your favorite part of the vacation. So today we are doing 10 past opinions. we've changed our minds about. So welcome.
All right, this is gonna be interesting.
I I gotta see if we're on the same page or if we're gonna debate all of these.
I think this is something that everybody goes through. The more you do something over and over again, the more your opinion is gonna change about that thing or As you get older, your opinions evolve. Maybe it's not change, it's just evolve.

What is your opinion about me? Has that evolved?

I'm just joking. But it has not. If you're new to us, we are husband and wife, Connie and Bruce. I'm Connie with a C, and that's Bruce with a B. And we are here to give you a little entertainment, some some oh some information, you know. Take that with a grain of salt sometimes, but really it's just a a place where you can unwind, listen to some Disney Universal theme park talk. And hang out.
That's right. Don't don't listen to what we say.
Yeah, yeah. Do your own thing. I don't like saying tips and tricks or we don't do too many like trip reports, but we blend in what we learn over time and it becomes our episodes.
I think we like to make it seem like we're just like you, right? We go to the parks, we hang out with our family and we're just like you. We're not ones that are there every single day to give you the best strategy for this or that. But like if you want to have a good time and hang out and talk about your experiences and that's what we're here for.

That's exactly the point. Right. All right. Let's talk about these ten or so. I feel like we always make a list, but either we either go exceed it or just go under because we end up Somebody on this show rambles a little bit. I don't know. You or I.

I don't know. If you're new here, maybe you can guess. Okay. Number one I'm on the list is Universal Parks Are Not Immersive.
I don't even know if it's like a immersive as it is. Universal parks aren't as good as Disney.

I think it's both of those, right? Like Universal's done a better job of becoming more immersive, but they've also just done a better job

Than Disney over the last few years, in my opinion.
Well, I think if I can guess, they saw an opportunity and ran with it. Like they saw some of the struggles maybe Disney was doing. They already like I'm sure Epic Universe was part of the plan years before it was even announced. Like they knew, right? And so They saw some of the struggles post COVID that Disney was dealing with, the reservation system, kind of a messy thing, lots of things happening that they were like, you know what, we can we can fix our food. We can, you know, make it a little easier for guests to come visit our parks. And I think that is what happened over the course of the years. But I definitely think They may have always been immersive. I just never gave it the chance that I think it deserved.
And I think I didn't use what I talk about a lot on the show in Disney Parks. It's like I'm always saying to you, Slow down. And what I mean about that isn't like literally slow your p maybe slow your roll and your pace, but really just try to what I mean by that is like look around, you know, like take a second and look at the details.
