So next one is embedding location based schema on AI generated images. Is this a trend or trash?
I'd say it's trashy.
Why do some experts consider adding location data to AI images as “trash”?
um to do that because that's just not truth, is it? If you've generated the image, it isn't from a particular location, therefore adding location data is not honest. Um, I can see why you would do it, but I don't agree with it. So I would say trash because You're not really fooling anyone. You're not really fooling anyone. Why try it we don't need that level of sort of spammy manipulation. Um, it's just unnecessary.
How might search engines detect and penalize AI‑generated images with false location tags?
So I'd say trash.
Time for a one-minute break to hear from our sponsor, Previsible. So you're looking for SEO help, then you got a couple of options. You could start replying to spam from agencies that claim they can get you to rank number one on Google. You can pay an hourly rate for a consultant who will inevitably nickel and dime you with hourly charges, or you can work with a cookie cutter agency to quickly launch a strategy-less project with low success rate. None of those sound very good. Now do they? Well, that's where Previsible's integrated consulting model comes in. Previsible draws from a collective 40 years of SEO and digital marketing experience to unlock your organic growth opportunities. They build custom solutions that combine strategy, technical expertise, content, and reporting to effectively operationalize SEO for your business.
What are the broader SEO implications of using “cheap tricks” like fake location schema?
Pre-Visible's four-stage approach ensures that your SEO programs thrive. By starting off with a strategy first approach. Then they support you in your efforts to create quality content, help you identify technical issues, and most importantly, they'll work with your cross-functional teams to integrate your SEO strategies to make sure that your SEO budget actually drives results, not just your agency's bottom line. So join brands like Yelp, eBay, Canva, Atlassian, Square, all who rely on the SEO consultant. At Previsible. For more information, go to previsible.io. That's previsible P R-E-V-I-S-I-B-L-E. Io.
Yeah, it feels it feels a little bit of a a a cheap trick kind of in that sense where with how easy it is to identify and kind of flag an image as being AI generated, if you're looking at location data M I generated, like that seems to be an easy thing to catch from a search perspective. Yeah. So yeah, I would tend to agree with you on that one too.
And and historically those things have been the s the the cheap tricks have been the things that the algorithm updates or the manual actions have really kind of tried to stamp down on. Um and I wouldn't be surprised if L LMs are also aware or become aware of that sort of uh cheap trick and try to prevent it influencing their results as well. So yeah, trash.
Hundred percent.
