No, I I feel like from the last episode, you know, we left the listeners a little bit on a cliffhanger. I think we were kind of, you know, getting close to this topic with talking about kind of shifts in the landscape, AI overviews. But I guess like taking a step back, how how are you looking about future proofing? Like what are the elements or the characteristics that you're trying to address for in adjusting maybe your strategy or plans.
Yeah, so I think earlier on in this year, as most SEAs would have felt, there was just so much information, volatility. It it felt like it was coming from absolutely everywhere and there was no single source of truth for what we should actually be doing or thinking. And if I'm honest, I feel like it hasn't changed that much since then. Maybe a few things have been a little bit clearer. So that's the first thing to kind of remember when we're thinking about future. proving anything, it's just that we really don't have all of the information, so a lot of this will be guesswork.
How can educated guesswork help when SEO information is volatile?
But the best thing we can do is kind of make it educated guesswork. And I think one of the biggest things we've been doing in preparation is firstly I did a lot of reading, a lot of listening to things, um, a lot of watching webinars, just trying to digest as much of the information and possibilities that we could be experiencing in the future. And that was honestly, I start spent about a month just really trying to get into all of that and really understand where I thought this. going to take us because it it does feel really risky. And I'm sure lots of people will say, like, we've heard the conversation, SEO is dead. I I don't think it is. I just think you need to be prepared for fluctuation and you kind of need to make sure you are having those internal conversations to prepare other people.
And that does often mean bringing in a little bit of jargon and then demystifying it for them. So I spoke to a lot of people internally about what AIO view Would look like. I shared some links to different things. I showed them some examples of what it would look like for keywords like ours. We couldn't see any for ours yet, but we did see some for other software queries. So yeah, I think that's probably the first stage, just having those conversations and then trying to communicate that business impact that you are likely to feel as a result of these. So that is probably the hardest bit because you have so many questions that you do not have the answers to, but it's just important to make sure everyone's like kind of prepped and primed for the decisions that you're going to make based on that as well.
I feel like that is such a key element. Maybe just to pause there for the listeners, like I feel like that is a very advanced kind of position to take on it.
