Sit back, relax, and get ready for your daily dose of search engine optimization wisdom. Here's today's host of the Voices of Search Podcast, Jordan Cooney.
Hello SEOs, my name is Jordan Cooney from Previsible. And this week, we're going to be discussing effective enterprise SEO management and some of the challenges and opportunities that come within that territory. Joining me is Jarrett Weathersby, who is the global SEO manager at Healer Packard Enterprise, also known as HPE. HPE is a global edge to cloud company built to transform businesses. HPE is helping enterprises connect, protect, analyze, and act on data and applications, whether they are live, from edge to cloud, or just turning insights into outcomes. Today, Jarrett and I are going to be discussing getting stakeholders buy-in in SEO. Okay, here's my conversation with Jarrett Wethersby. The global SEO manager at Healer Packard Enterprise.
Jared, welcome to the Voice to Search podcast. How's it going? Going well, long intro there on HPE or Hewler-Packard Enterprise. Maybe before we get into the details of stakeholder buy-in, I'd love to get your perspective on HPE's business and specifically how you all look at the SEO world and the importance of it in your business.
Definitely. think with our large platform as far as how we service so many businesses, we have to take more of a global perspective every time we think about a keyword. Typically we want to focus on our main, you know, users, which are in located in the United States, and then we'll then see how that can matriculate to like the other parts of the globe, such as like Germany or the Netherlands or France or Japan, things of that sort. I wanna say an important part of as far as the marketing step for H V E as far as getting buy in or awareness from a lot of, you know, technical directors, a lot of IT program managers, seeing how that they can transform some of their hard copy stuff or some of their more archaic designs from yesteryear and moving more towards like that edge the cloud that HPE is famous for.
We heavily try to focus on seeing how we can get our customers and traffic to understand what we're offering as well as any types of gaps that they may have in their information or that their knowledge set and then hopefully bring them into the fold by presenting them with uh we know one of our amazing product offerings.
Cool. And when you think about HP and SEO, I think that a lot of folks they don't really understand the full spectrum and value of how SEO plays a role in it. And so through your experience in in working at HP, what would you give to the listener who doesn't know a lot about this enterprise to enterprise kind of transaction? What insight would you give to them in terms of why SEO is so important?
Yeah, definitely with the amount of research that we do, usually when you're dealing with an enterprise with like large budgets that they're gonna spend, you know, month over month or signing one year contracts, you definitely want to tailor a specific answer or a specific solution.
