What is the core question about integrating email data into SEO strategy?
Last question we have is your game plan. And for this, let's say you're the the SEO director. And you wanna and maybe even you're just listening to this episode, where would you start to integrate email marketing data into your search strategy and search initiatives?
I would say probably tracking engagement be first and seeing where we're what are the engagement points, what are the the words that customers are using, that prospective customers are using, what are the words that um are driving engagement?
How can you track email engagement keywords to boost search performance?
So tracking those engagement points and seeing how that trends over time and h seeing how that's similar with an email and uh with an SEO. And then I think and I mean I I feel like Somehow we just like this has been an entirely talking about content, but I think the second one would be compelling content. I think you know, using you know, working together to like develop the best content I think is going to be critically valuable. Um and I you know, like I think when we think about content, we all we like sometimes we think about like brilliant pictures or video ads or really sh strategic or innovative lists or kind of different views on on complex, you know, information.
Why is detailed, keyword‑rich content the bridge between email and SEO?
But also it can just be like What are the right words? Like what are the right words to describe this that are creating that engagement? So like content isn't like just the big idea. It's about like the very detailed minutia that drive engagement, that drive success, that get folks buying and buying more. And so that's the um I think content is just like a critically important place where they can be playing playing well together.
Absolutely. And it's like to your points, it's like you have that opportunity both on kind of like the macro level, but even in some of those like more specific usages that are, you know, linked to stronger performance. And I think that's, you know, probably a million different angles that you'd be able to pull from.
What audience‑segmentation tactics from email can inform content optimization?
Yeah. A hundred percent. Well, Patrick, I appreciate the time. It's been a nice kind of like change of pace, I think, here on the podcast, uh, to learn about, you know, another channel, how we can be better partners with it. And I think something, at least from this conversation that I've gained, is it's something that's probably too often overlooked of how we can partner and how we can kind of help both fronts between the two channels.
Yeah, no, I agree. It was a good centering conversation. I definitely think we can also do better.
How should marketers measure the multi‑channel impact of email on organic rankings?
And so it was good for a good opportunity for me to remind myself of that. So
