What one word does Brian use to describe the shift from human‑first to AI‑first discovery?

Tyson Stockton 0:43
Next one is give me one word that describes the shift from human first to AI first discovery.
Brian Stempeck 0:51
I'd say my word for that is breathtaking. And and the reason I say that is that the speed of this change is just insane. So in in my previous live, I worked at a company called the Trade Desk on the ad tech side of things. We went through this transition of watching consumers move from broadcast TV and cable kind of old school TV to move to streaming. And that moved super fast, right? As people adopted Netflix and Hulu and everything else. But all in all, it it's a shift that's been playing out for like close to a decade now. And it it's happening quickly. But when I think about this space in AI search, It's not just people going to ChatGPT and asking a question.

How is AI already powering everyday search results on Google, Amazon, and voice assistants?

Brian Stempeck 1:29
It's not just people going to Claude and asking a question. Every person now going to Google and asking a question is seeing an AI answer for the most part with AI overviews. And as they roll out AI mode, they'll see even more. Or if you're on Amazon and you look at a product, they have Rufus, which is their AI tool. And they're sho they're prompting and saying, Hey, ask more details about this product that you're looking at. Or you're asking Siri a question and they're partnering with Gemini at Google. And so even though the average person might not be an early adopter using AI yet, they're getting the results of AI search already. And so I think it's gone mainstream so quickly that this is just a massive trend.

This is why we started our company.

Time for a one-minute break to hear from our sponsor, Previsible. So you're looking for SEO help, then you got a couple of options. You could start replying to spam from agencies that claim they can get you to rank number one on Google. You can pay an hourly rate for a consultant who will inevitably nickel and dime you with hourly charges, or you can work with a cookie cutter agency to quickly launch a strategy-less project with low success rate.

Why does Brian say the speed of AI‑search adoption is ‘breathtaking’?

Unknown 2:34
None of those sound very good. Now do they? Well, that's where Previsible's integrated consulting model comes in. Previsible draws from a collective 40 years of SEO and digital marketing experience to unlock your organic growth opportunities. They build custom solutions that combine strategy, technical expertise, content, and reporting to effectively operationalize SEO for your business. Pre-Visible's four-stage approach ensures that your SEO programs thrive. By starting off with a strategy first approach. Then they support you in your efforts to create quality content, help you identify technical issues, and most importantly, they'll work with your cross-functional teams to integrate your SEO strategies to make sure that your SEO budget actually drives results, not just your agency's bottom line.

Which I mean, and what better time to do so than that? A as you said, and I like that you threw in kind of like the Rufus piece, because as we were talking earlier about the more of like commodity consumer goods, I was thinking Amazon has already the trust factor with consumers and there's still that behavior barrier, but I feel like that is just prime.

What strategic advantage does Walmart gain by becoming an early ChatGPT partner?

Tyson Stockton 4:02
uh for them from something that's like, yeah, I need dish soap, I need paper towels, like whatever.
