Next one is gonna be toss up. Would you choose to optimize for Google's traditional search results or more for emerging platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or others to be more of the core focus?
Jason Lax 0:58
I'm gonna say emerging technologies, not legacy search.

How does Google’s AI experience fit into the emerging versus legacy search classification?

Tyson Stockton 1:03
And that's an interesting one. And is would you include like Google's AI experience as being in the emerging bucket or more in the traditional?
Jason Lax 1:13
It's borderline emerging, it's kinda like asking me if I would rather become a mechanic for a gasoline car or a full electric car. And Google's AMO does the hybrid.
Tyson Stockton 1:25
Mm-hmm.
Jason Lax 1:25
Straddling both worlds.

What advantages does focusing on emerging AI platforms offer for future SEO innovation?

Jason Lax 1:27
So, you know, if electric vehicles are where they go, I would rather work on that and see what's possible and and that infrastructure 'cause that probably is going to be the future. And then like the gasoline engine's been around for a hundred years, so it's you know, it's I know how to change a spark plug. It's pretty you know, there's not really much more we can do with that. So that analogy helps.
Tyson Stockton 1:47
Love it. Excellent analogy for this.
