How can reviews become more useful through hyper‑personalized insights?
Sit back, relax, and get ready for your daily dose of search engine optimization wisdom. Here's today's host of the Voices of Search podcast, Tyson Stockton.
My name's Tyson, and joining me today is Kristen Tinsky, SVP of Creative and co-founder at Fractal. Do you see the review platforms? Keeping like kind of the their space in the market and it continuing to be like an important factor, or do you see that kind of uh third party piece is maybe not being as relevant in the future. Like how do you see the review as
I actually think they become much more useful than they currently are. Um, and it's it's for that same reason that it's it's about understanding not just like what a brand is good at, but what they don't do or what they can't do or who they don't serve.
Why is trust essential for reviews in AI‑driven search models?
Um so instead of like a really rough generic three out of five stars, you understand instead it's five out of five for this part of the consumer base and one out of five for this other part.
Time for a one-minute break to hear from our sponsor, Previsible. So you're looking for SEO help, then you got a couple of options. You could start replying to spam from agencies that claim they can get you to rank number one on Google. You can pay an hourly rate for a consultant who will inevitably nickel and dime you with hourly charges, or you can work with a cookie cutter agency to quickly launch a strategy-less project with low success rate. None of those sound very good. Now do they? Well, that's where Previsible's integrated consulting model comes in. Previsible draws from a collective 40 years of SEO and digital marketing experience to unlock your organic growth opportunities. They build custom solutions that combine strategy, technical expertise, content, and reporting to effectively operationalize SEO for your business.
What role do AI training sets play in deciding which review sites are included?
Previsible's four-stage approach ensures that your SEO programs thrive. By starting off with a strategy first approach. Then they support you in your efforts to create quality content, help you identify technical issues, and most importantly, they'll work with your cross-functional teams to integrate your SEO strategies to make sure that your SEO budget actually drives results, not just your agency's bottom line. So join brands like Yelp, eBay, Canva, Atlassian, Square, all who rely on the SEO consultant. At Previsible. For more information, go to previsible.io. That's previsible P-R-E-V-I-S-I-B-L-E.O.
So everyone that got stuck in the three out of five middle because they
What are the key takeaways on the future of review platforms and SEO?
were great for some and horrible for others, now can be the five star thing that they were always meant to be because they're serving their real audience. So I think, yeah, reviews become much more important with the caveat that they need to be trusted. So like this again becomes, I think, maybe a decision of the model creators where they're deciding what they use in their training sets, or maybe even AIs dis that are deciding whether or not to include things in their initial training sets. Or developed over time a the heuristics of a model to understand whether or not something is trustworthy or not. So that that could go much deeper. But in general I think it'll be about deciding what review sites should be included in the initial training sets that create the models.
So with that, thanks for stopping by and we'll see you in the next episode.
