Hey, what's going on? My name is Tyson from Previsual.io. And joining me today, I have Monik Bond, who is the founder and CTO at Search Atlas. Search Atlas provides innovative solutions for data analysts and visualizations for businesses worldwide. Yesterday, Monica and I talked about successful holistic SEO strategies, and today we're going to continue the conversation by discussing the role of AI. And ML in the future of SEO. With that, here's my conversation with Monica Bond, founder and CTO at Search Atlas. Monik, welcome back.
Hey Titan, how are you?
I'm doing well. I'm doing well. We're coming, you know, we were kind of banging the drum for the respect to the different components within SEO, taking that holistic approach to identifying, you know, what levers may have like the greatest deficit from unlocking search performance. But today we're gonna kind of be looking, looking ahead into the future as far as what does the intersection of AI and ML look like. Maybe just to set the stage with the listeners, like, where do you personally feel we are today within kind of where AI and ML intersects with SEO?
I think we're in the very, very early stages of it. And I'll tell you why. Right now, still today, ninety nine percent of people in this industry, you consume our information about our websites is by looking at charts. is by going through keyword reports and backlink reports and just sifting and wading through tools like Semrush and HREFs and a lot of times get it nowhere. And the real promise of AI as far as like as an SEO, there's really twofold. One is taking all the information, all the information that is overwhelming, honestly, summarizing it.
What is the current state of AI and ML in SEO according to Manick Bhan?
comprehensively, boiling it down into the key insights of performance. So that instead of wading through pages and pages of data, we just get the key insights as a download, as an email, as a pop-up, as an alert that we need to be aware of. So that's one key piece. And the second one I'd say super briefly is just AI helping us automate the work that we have to do as SEOs to make websites perform and rank better.
Totally agree. It feels like We're kind of like on, you know, just that front the front part of the ride, like it's the the top of the iceberg that's kind of sticking out. And sure AI and ML have been used for quite some time by search engines. And so I think like we've been operating with some overlap and some aspects to it. But to your point, like we're just now starting to adopt. adopt it into whether it's the tools that we're using or the tactics that we're using to manage SEO as a channel. I think the two points that you brought up I think are are quite interesting. So like one is more of like the surfacing of the relevant information, like surfacing the areas that you should be paying attention to on the site or changes in performance.
Can you kind of elaborate? A little bit on that of like maybe what some ideas like how would this look as it progresses in the future?
So you know, I I can share how we're looking at this because we're actually right now doing exactly this. We're summarizing we're summarizing the site audit data. To help you understand what are the key things holding your site back, instead of giving you facefuls of information, just distilling it down to the key insights. Also as as on the reporting side, looking at all the the performance data across the keywords that we're ranking for and how they've changed and our heat map rankings and and even GSC data and GA data, and just looking at all the data in totality and just boiling it down
