Uh we have some announcements but uh we also have two what we call decisions only uh and then uh we'll convene one public hearing this evening. So moving into commission business, uh I'm gonna turn to uh uh Commissioner Bennett on behalf of Secretary Hancock for a minute consideration.
Um thank you, Mr. Chairman. Uh first I'd like to move to approve the minutes for the meetings from February twenty twenty six. These are from February fourth, February eleventh, and February twenty fifth, twenty twenty six. Second.

Um and we are going to um at the june twenty fourth, twenty twenty six meeting we w um Secretary Hancock will be making a motion to m approve the minutes for the March meeting, so that'll be March fourth. March eleventh, march eighteenth, and march twenty fifth.
Okay, great. Thank you so much. Uh Commissioner Landgraaff, you have a committee announcement?
Uh yes, Mr Chair, thank you. Um I'd like to announce that uh tomorrow evening, Thursday, June eleventh, at seven thirty in conference room eleven, we will be hosting a housing committee meeting. Uh Two items on the agenda are continued discussion of the Housing Task Force recommendations, additional opportunities for the commissioners to ask questions, and then uh a review of the affordable housing dashboard and income eligibility tool demonstration uh by the uh housing and community development staff. So I would request that uh as many members attend as possible and ask the questions that you have, because this is our opportunity. So thank you.
Thank you, Commissioner. Uh Commissioner Carter, you have a decision only? Yes. Uh this is the called Lops Two.
We've been working away on that and if you remember Our last meeting we talked about Four items one is the construction of Easterly Road. We now have a design for that that that's a little more directed uh and and it's clear what at least this developer would will do. We have uh striping. If you remember this was a issue on both the past project and and this project, so we have a new profer for that. We have a new proffer for uh managing dust, which I'm going to change uh tonight. And then the last one is on s snow removal and I got interested in that, seemingly a fairly mundane topic, but what's happening now is that there's seven developers, I believe, in this area, and they're getting together and forming a consortium.
to work on things like snow re removal, which I think is uh an outstanding approach to this. It's to me, it's the first business improvement district in Fairfax County. We have uh improvement districts for things like the Reston Town Center or Mosaic or Fairfax Corner. Those are large developers who control the whole thing. But in a case like this where you have a neighborhood with separate uh developments w with different aspirations in each one to f to form an umbrella organization to take care of these uh issues like snow removal, I I think is uh is this something that the developers and the

the the residents have been doing on their own and I I just stumbled across it but I think it's the greatest thing. Uh it's a thing it's a coming event. In Fairfax, I think. We we know Arlington does this. Uh and it it's a very large moneymaker for Arlington County. We know the District of Columbia does this. Uh they're usually larger. Georgetown has one, downtown uh upper northwest west has this, Montgomery has this in their central business districts of Silver Spring and Wheaton, French and Pitts and and Bethesda. These are organizations that that take care of maintenance. Uh so anyway I
