Well good evening. Welcome to uh our May thirteenth, twenty twenty six Planning Commission meeting. Uh we open with uh we'll open with Commission business uh and then we'll include uh which will include an application deferral and then we'll uh convene five public hearings. So we have a full night this evening. Uh before we get into commission business, uh wanted to just note that the um uh the Board uh yesterday and its uh the the Board of Supervisors yesterday uh con every other week it convenes committee meetings. They held f uh a number of committee meetings yesterday, three of which I th I wanted to bring to the the the Commission's attention as well as the public's because it's such a significant and important issue that was addressed.

Kind of the baseline here is that the Board uh initiated a couple of board matters, what are called board matters. One was on economic development and the other was on housing. Uh and this is uh on the economic development. It was a August, end of August 2025 board matter, and the uh uh housing one was uh uh I think September that year of twenty twenty five. Bottom line is uh the staff was directed to engage um in looking at how we can strengthen our economic initiatives and be more economically competitive. Uh and uh also on housing, how we can um r uh promote or More significantly strengthen our housing market in all levels of housing, but in particular affordability. I was impressed with the report that the staff gave to the board on economic initiatives and in particular with the staff's report on housing.

very thorough. Uh all county agencies participated. Uh the leadership was uh by by the county executive and the deputy county executive and then the next level staff was outstanding. Um And I think that they uh provided uh the staff provided to the board a s really substantive uh meaningful action actionable items that uh I look forward to having parti having uh the Commission participate in implementing Um as well as the outcomes that both the board and the commission strongly desire. Just wanted to reference that there uh the the the if you're interested, all b board committee meetings are televised and recorded, so you can go to the board's uh website and uh they have a listing of videos that can be watched and I'd encourage you to to do so if you're interested in either the economic future of the county

Our second in the Drainsville District, Sweet Green DuPont LLC, SE twenty twenty five dash DR dash zero zero zero two seven. Our third in the Providence District 1950 OG J V LLC is RZ F D P 2025-PR dash zero zero zero one four. Our fourth in the Hunter Mill District, Pulti Home Company LLC, RZ FDP 2022. twenty twenty two dash HM dash zero zero zero zero three. And then finally uh countywide's um proposed PFM amendments. It is amendment to Chapter seven streets street lights, parking and driveways of the public facilities manual.
