Well good evening everyone. Your microphone. Welcome to our uh October fifteenth, twenty twenty five Planning Commission meeting. Our agenda this evening consists of commission business, uh including action on minutes from our June meetings and a deferral motion, and then we have two public hearings. Uh with regard to Commission Business, um I'll call on uh Secretary Hancock for a motion on uh junior minutes.

Um so finally in terms of Commission business, uh following tonight's public hearing on the public plan amendment to the comprehensive plan, uh it's my intent to move for a four week deferral of a decision only until november twelfth, with the record remaining open for written testimony. This deferral will allow for an october thirtieth plan uh policy plan committee workshop at seven thirty PM in the Government Centers room eleven.

The public is welcome to attend this committee meeting or the uh the the committee meeting can be viewed on channel sixteen. The workshop will allow Commissioners an opportunity to preview a draft main motion that will include minor and editorial changes to staff's recommended original policy plan language and provide commissioners the opportunity to present and discuss draft motions they are considering. that might amend the main motion. While the record will will remain open for written testimony until november twelfth, the public is encouraged to provide additional testimony as soon as possible for maximum time for commissioners to consider the testimony and certainly before the october thirtieth workshop where specific possible changes will be discussed.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. We have two public hearings this evening. The first is a plan amendment in the Drainsville District, it's Rock Hill Road Plan Amendment, SSPA 2023, Dash Roman number three-20 UP. The second public hearing is um the countywide's policy plan updates, plan amendments twenty twenty two dash CW dash two C P.

Thank you, Mr Secretary. But before we uh uh move on to our two public hearings, uh let me start off welcoming those attending our meeting here in the auditorium. uh or watching on TV or subsequently on uh YouTube video. We invite and encourage the public to speak to the Commission. We have just a few ground rules that ensure everyone is treated equally and the Commission hears from all who wish to be heard. Individuals wishing to provide testimony to the Commission have a number of options. They can testify here in person or provide testimony by phone or YouTube video. At the designated point in the public hearing I will call four speakers from the speakers list and they will either come forward or their video will be shown or they will be connected by telephone.

Speakers testifying via video must sign up and submit their video no later than nine AM on the day prior to the hearing.
