Our agenda this evening consists of Commission business, uh including one deferral motion and will then transition to two public hearings. Uh Commissioner Thomas, you're going to start us off. I understand you have a deferral motion. Sure. I've got to do that. I can do a little song and dance. Thank you very much. No, appreciate it. Uh thank you Mr. Chairman. Uh there has been a change in the proposed intensity of the Fair Oaks Business Park amendment that needs to be corrected. In the public hearing adds and legal notification for this amendment, specifically an increase from one point zero three FAR
to one point two FAR, which is within the level authorized by the Board of Supervisors. This update reflects a clarification of the ADU and WDU bonus calculations for the associated rezoning. As well as a slight increase in the number of one of the proposed multifamily buildings, but does not change the total number of units or non residential gross floor area that were analyzed. Therefore, Mr Chairman, I move that the Planning Commission defer the hearing For the Fair Oaks Business Park, S SPA two zero two three dash one one dash two F C to a date certain of november twelfth. I've been moved by uh Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Bachelor Causey. Is there any discussion? Uh Commissioner Cortina.

set tonight's agenda. Thank you. Good evening. Uh we have two public hearings uh this evening. The first is a plan amendment in the Springfield District, Fairfax Ridge Road, Plan Amendment SSPA twenty twenty three dash Roman Burrow three dash three FC. Our second is countywide a zoning ordinance amendment for electrical substations. Thank you.
Thank you. Without objection, we will now move on to our two public hearings. Uh but before we do so, let me start off by welcoming uh one and all attending the meeting here in the auditorium or watching on TV or subsequently on video. We invite and encourage the public to speak to the Commission. We have just a few ground rules that ensure everyone is treated equally and the Commission uh hears from all who wish to be heard. Individuals wishing to provide testimony to the Commission have a number of options. They can testify here in person or they can provide testimony by phone or video. At the designated point in the public hearing I will call four speakers from the speakers list and they will either come forward or their video will be shown or they will be connected by telephone.
There will then be an opportunity for anyone else who would like to speak to the application to come down uh to the podium or to call in on a number that will be provided on the screen. Speakers testifying via video must sign up and submit their video no later than nine AM on the day prior to the hearing. For all testimony, you were given four minutes to speak as an individual. If you are the spokesperson for a group, you were are given seven minutes. Should you decide during the public hearing that you wish to be heard and did not previously sign up to do so, you will be permitted three minutes to speak. Finally, members of the public who wish to submit written testimony may do so electronically at any time prior to the closing of the public hearing.
In order to ensure timely distribution to the commissioners by the start of the public hearing, written testimony in digital form should be submitted no later than one PM on the day of the public hearing.
