Just very quickly, I want to thank Supervisor Booty for bringing this item. had the opportunity to attend the retirement ceremony, I think Supervisor Bailey I saw there, for Congresswoman Wexton, and she has been critically important over the past several years. To our delegation, I reside in the 7th, and she represents the 10th, but I can tell you she was always very helpful in making sure that both districts had what they needed and worked very carefully and closely together. with the seventh congressional. So, you know, in early ending to a wonderful career. But I just want to thank her and her staff for the work that they've done, particularly for Prince William County.
If you have not met Congresswoman Wexton, she is quite, quite a genuine, true leader and really, really the epitome of public service. So thank you, Supervisor Bodie, for bringing us forward. Supervisor Bailey. Thank you, Madam Chair, and welcome back, Madam Chair. I just wanted to thank my colleague, Supervisor Bodie, also. Great minds think alike. And kudos and congratulations and much success in the future for our own congressional district. Congresswoman Wexton, I too, as Supervisor Franklin said, attended her retirement ceremony on Sunday, and it was wonderful. I mean, from even Maryland people came because of the great collaboration and the great work that she's done not just for the state of Virginia, but just being in that audience, that congressional audience, how she has collaborated and worked in a bipartisan way for the nation.
And so I wish her well, and I wish her well in her advocacy for the
unfortunate concern that she has with her health. She's going to move forward in advocating for those in the future so they might have the services and the medical services and the advocacy that they need to live a better quality of life. So we
thank you. If you're watching, we thank you for your service. We thank you for your collaboration and Godspeed. Supervisor Ingram. Thank you, Madam chair. Um, I, I didn't intend to speak, but, um, I wanted to second that because, um, I have had the fortunate opportunity of watching Jennifer Wexton, uh, grow in her career in politics. I was in the Army as a sub-major and we met at a retreat for horses that they compared with civilians, if you will, into a merry of rehabilitating processes. She was a senator then. It was impressive as I met her. Every time I went around, I'd see her at other events and then I became a politician too. I watched her grow to a congresswoman, and she watched me grow into this political position.
And so I'm just very grateful that I've got to be a part of her career and her journey. I am crushed with everything going on with her, and she's such a great human being. And I love you, Jennifer Wex. And I know this is recorded, so download it, because I just want you to know how much your career and your life and every time I've seen you has impressed me to continue on in this path of politics that I am now on. So thank you for everything you've done for me, the mentorship and the guidance, and I love you. Thank you. Thank you guys for your kind words. All right, let's go ahead and take a vote.
