I'll be brief with it.

I had a whole speech prepared, but I would like to just thank you guys very much for, a lot of you are gonna vote no on this, and I'm an environmental student, environmental science student at FIU.

And I've gone to a lot of meetings at Miami-Dade and Tallahassee.

This is my first Broward County meeting.

A lot of the meetings at Miami-Dade have been a bit pessimistic, so I just really appreciate you guys.

I've never been more proud of being a Broward County resident.

The proposed resolution would provide county employees an additional half day of personal day time for each of Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

subject to operational needs.

The leave could be used as a half a day of personal leave on December 24th and on December 31st, except that the employees who are required to work on one or both of those dates to maintain operational coverage may, with supervisory approval, use the credited hours to another workday during that same fiscal year.

So I would like to move this item, I think it's important.

It's no different from what's happening in Miami-Dade County and other municipal cities across Broward County.

So if I can make that motion in case there's any other discussion, a motion to approve.
