And the longer they put their money in that box, the longer they get to continue to gain investment growth.
And then starting to translate as they get older what that means in a real tangible way.
So I loved that.
I think that's something I will probably do with my kids.
Hopefully one day if I have them.
Another way to kind of visualize is like a jar method.
So some people talk about having three jars at home, whereas you might get your allowance and say it's $10, teaching their kids the principles that they want to instill.
So I come from a family that I was raised on kind of the give, save, spend method, where
As a believer, I tithe the first 10% of income.
And so I tithe that in whichever way makes sense for you.
And then I am told from a young age, you have to save.
If you want your future alley to be pleased with what you've done, you take 10% and you save and then the rest is yours.
You get to spend it however you want.
And so getting that visual representation to take that dollar and break it out in ones is
Put a dollar in the give, a dollar in the save, and $8 left in the spend, I think can be really powerful, especially when you're young and it's hard to kind of grapple with percentages.
I think that's a good way to display that.
So overall, I don't have a ton of meat and potatoes of personal experience with this.
But I really think you've got to cater it to your child and what's going to motivate them.
So growing up, my sister and I were very different when it came to money.
