That's my update.

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

All right.

That's a perfect segue because Tess asks, well, why would you ever sell?

Really?

There's a couple of different reasons why you'd sell.

Number one is fear.

The fear of it continuing to go down beyond where it is now.

So you just touched on this Quint, so I won't beat this one to death by any means, but for the most part, if you're consistently hitting that wall of having fear,

sometimes instead of thinking necessarily about that one stock, it might be time to take a 50,000 foot view and think through if you're over allocated, if you have too many chips on the table.

So you can have fear in one specific stock or one specific holding in your overall portfolio, or you might just have fear across the board.

And when things get volatile, like we've seen as we're cutting this, the last couple of weeks have been crazy.

you start to see and get a finger on the pulse, is this an allocation that I can sleep well at night with and still meet my goals?

If those two things aren't true, it might be time to make a tweak in either direction.

Either you need to increase your risk because you need to have more money and more return in order to fulfill your goals, or you can decrease risk because you'll meet your goals with less risk and you want to sleep better at night, perfectly fine as well.

So number one, you sell because of fear.

Um, the other reason why people might sell is they need the money.

And I think this is also very important.

They're often, obviously over time, your goals change.

So you might be selling incrementally here and there to reduce your overall allocation, kind of going back to what I talked about before.
