Yeah, and this was probably the moment where, when was I?

So I'd have been 97, so I would have been from 18, kind of, I don't know, maybe 20, about 20.

So I must have maybe done that for a bit longer, chased that little dream.

uh but i probably knew halfway through this process that i wasn't going to be a pro snooker player and i was just kind of playing for money and you know there was a couple of i remember all the fellas in in scotties would would like use me as a bet so so so lads had come from other clubs and they'd have 50 quid with the lad that i'd beat them and if i beat them i'd get a tenner and so he was putting all the money up but the pressure was on me kind of thing and

so i've done that but then i remember my mum just saying to me one day you need to sort your out basically yeah and we'd spent quite a lot of time in in america my family right most of my family from old swan um emigrated to new york when they had a don't know exactly when it was

I don't really remember them ever being around so I'm guessing it must have been early 80s and they had like a bit of an open door they must have opened the doors up to trades people from I don't know if it was just Liverpool or the North West and loads of them emigrated and they ended up in Rochester New York which is kind of southern New York near Canada Buffalo area

So we used to go and visit them because it was like my mum, the person my mum was closest to.

And it was just me and my mum at that time.

She then split up with me, the stepdad and what.

So we used to go and visit them.

And then I'd always had a keen interest.

And even when I was playing as a decent player when I was younger, in hindsight, probably always thought about the game.

You know, like, why is he asking me to do that drill?

You know?

so i was always interested in coaching um and one of the summers when i was in america they sent me to camp america so i went and done a week with my cousin so my cousin was from rochester new york and they paid for him to go and then unbeknown to me we got there and he they sent me with him and it was like the best six nights of my life it was in pittsburgh and it was just like

that it was just like the facilities were unreal and so after that i always wanted to go back to camp america as a kid but then when i was about 19 i saw an advertisement to be a counselor camp counselor right and then when i was about 20 i must have probably 20 yeah i um i was as i said i was working in this video shop not really doing anything with my life

and I just applied, and then, so I went, I went and done Camp America, and whilst I was there, I'd done loads of different coaching, like, I taught kids how to do basic archery skills, golf, I was even a golf coach for, and I'm crap at golf, but it was basically just being someone to drive them and look after them on the golf course, and show them how to hold a club and that, but I could do that, but, like,

no more but I got really into footy coaching over there just like self-taught didn't really know but obviously back then like even just an average player here was like Pele to them because they were so far behind where they are now

So I found that quite easy and I enjoyed it.

So then when I came back, I kind of done footy coaching here and I'd done Camp America three years, three summers on the run.
