I know that in recent seasons, the Blue Jays have actually distributed a questionnaire to everybody
within the entire front office.
So all the way from like Mark Shapiro all the way on down to like the lowliest analyst typing away at a computer making $65,000 a year in Dunedin.
And everybody fills out like answers the same 10 to 15 questions.
And then you kind of bring that all together and you lay that out for everyone in a big meeting and assess just what is to be taken away from the wisdom of that crowd.
So all of that work is beginning.

Yeah, it's a massive question.
And there's probably a bunch of different inputs there and a bunch of different variables that all accumulate and all contribute to what we ultimately got in the end.
And the ultimate results and performance that we saw and the discrepancy that we saw in a team that was built fairly similarly to the way that it was built in 2025 and didn't perform well.
the same way like you made the injuries point and like injuries are a massive storyline in the season but a lot of really smart people have been trying to figure out how to predict injuries for a very long time and have figured come to the conclusion that you mostly can't and that like we know prior injury is a decent predictor of future injury we know fatigue is a decent predictor of future injury and obviously the lujas know these things and that's why they try to manage playing time and workloads throughout the year so players don't accumulate too much fatigue
But so many of the injuries the Blue Jays have dealt with this year have just been freak things, whether it's like Cody Ponce blowing out his knee or Shane, excuse me, Trey Savage blowing out his knee.
I mean, some of it's just been so weird and unexpected.
I think that like two of the big areas the Blue Jays are going to want to look at this offseason would be the inconsistency defensively that we've seen.
I mean, there's a lot of players on this team who ought to be better defenders than they were this year.
