Everything was fine, right?
Everything was fine in our household with with respect to money.
But, you know, in hindsight, there were a lot of lessons being learned and taught, um, sometimes argued about, like most couples do.
Uh, you know, and so I I can see a little bit more clearly now, just with hindsight as we
usually and always can just where some of andor how money has showed up or why my relationship is the way that it is with with money from you know those family of origin contexts.
But I think that in many ways, Laura, my experience with money in our household was it's not uncommon to probably what, you know, a lot of people I hear talk about.
Money was
fine.
Sometimes parents argued over it.
We had the things that we need.
Uh we had, you know, necessities provided for, uh, and even some wants as well.
Yeah.
Um no, I would say it wasn't a smaller town.
So I grew up in Durham, North Carolina, home of yeah, home of uh Duke University.
Yeah.
So not a small town, but the area in which we which I lived, the m northern Durham area, you know, it did have it did feel small, right?
Like at at at times.
Um, and you know, I think that that's pretty common from a comparison standpoint, you know, I I did feel overall that
where the things that I received, like where my family was from a socioeconomic place, was, you know, pretty pretty much the same as all of like my friends.
