I think for lack of better terminology.
Because I feel the technology is happening faster than most educators could unlearn what they did in the past and then learn some of these new realizations.
For example, computer science, if you look at it,
The enrollment has dropped 8.1%, and this is more of the North America data, but 8.1% this school year.
And that's probably the steepest drop of any field of study in the US, with over 60% of universities kind of surveyed in this process.
I mean, this is one of the niche programs that, as I said earlier, was almost like an insurance policy for great remuneration, great compensation, a very stable kind of a career going forward.
It was almost like a safer bet in higher education.
To your question, this is what I really want to reassure people.
Universities are not standing still watching this happen.
If you look at...
What MIT is doing with AI and decision making major collaboration between universities and corporates to really preempt some of the requirements of a professional career and bring that into the study courses.
Northwestern Columbia, University of Southern California here collaborating with Microsoft and Google's and Anthropix of the world.
So that is definitely important.
A lot of movement happening.
But, you know, I think a meaningful chunk are also moving away from those insurance policy careers to other careers that are surfacing as very relevant in terms of youth making the choices for the future.
And universities are preparing for that, too.
Yeah, I mean, the fact that entire careers are going to be wiped away is an absolute false narrative that is out there.
So here are some of the myths that I have been talking with a lot of households and that I want to clarify.
AI, when they say it's going to wipe out entire professions overnight, definitely not.
The data says that, as I mentioned earlier, 92 million jobs get displaced by 2030, but 170 million new ones are going to be created in the same window.
