Yeah, so Maddie and I kind of looked at each other, Alicia and I and Maddie all looked at each other and went, holy heck, and there were tears and there were hugs and, yeah, I'm kind of at the point now where I am facing my celebration of life party that I'm going to have next Sunday and going through having some pretty tough conversations with people and, yeah,
I'm actually in the process of planning my own funeral, which is something I never thought I'd be doing in my life at 45 years old with two teenage kids.
But that's where I'm at, and it's a bit shit, don't get me wrong, but it is what it is, and I just want to make sure that I make the most of the time that I am still here, and I rinse the shit out of life while I can, basically.
So there we go.
Yes, I have.
I think this is a really great opportunity to kind of talk about perspective, how life can change when you get thrown a curveball.
Yeah.
making sure that you're not defined by a shit sandwich that you might have been handed.
And also for me, I feel like this is really cool and really important.
I can share some messages, but it's also a bit of a legacy that I can leave for my own children and my potential grandchildren and my kids and my family and my friends can sort of listen back.
when I'm not around to annoy them with my pesky little voice in their ear all the time.
So, yeah, I think it's very special and a really cool opportunity.
A good day for me is when I'm, if I can get through a little bit more pain free because the pain is just, in the last couple of weeks I've been experiencing quite a bit of pain and I'm on some pretty heavy duty drugs for that.
Like we're talking long acting morphine, slow release morphine, pregabalin that I've been taking for months now that I've only just worked out how to say the name.
Because in the medical area of life, oh my gosh, they make life hard for us with all of the names and things.
But a good day is when I can get out of bed with a bit of a pep in my step.
I can do things with my kids, my friends, my family.
I can get shit done, basically.
That's what a good day looks like for me.
And when I don't have to cancel plans.
