And all that they can do to go for comfort is their mother's arms, right?
That's all I could do.
Outside of snacks, like we've gone through the snacks.
We've gone through all the toys.
We've gone through the books that mom brought.
And mom's got nothing left.
And she knows her kid needs to sleep.
But this baby, he's tired.
He's cranky.
He's exhausted.
And he's fighting his mom every step of the way.
And I just want you to imagine this because we've all seen it or heard it after, you know, what feels like hours.
It probably wasn't hours.
It's probably like 10 minutes, 15 minutes or something like that.
But after hours of banging their arms against their mom's chest and fussing and crying and arching their back and throwing their head backwards and pulling away, they finally start to go into a quiet whimper.
And they just let their head fall onto their mother's chest.
And they let all the weight of their body go limp.
And they finally allow her arms to wrap around them in safety and in warmth.
So they stop fighting and they finally embrace the peaceful surrender to the comfort of their mother's love.
They let go of all their cares, all their fears, all their worries of not being in their normal and safe home and not being in their normal and safe room.
