So who am I now without those things?
So I think that's one of the reasons that we can feel isolated.
And also our support systems change.
We can not understand what's happening to us.
We may not have the support that we need.
There's lots of reasons we can feel that way on lots of different levels.
feeling invisible first also feeling tired or is it just put into the hot mess of what new motherhood's like I think there are women who go through the change feeling tired but not invisible I don't think it applies to everyone
I think we all feel tired, but I don't know that everyone feels invisible.
Not everyone would resonate with that term, I don't think.
Certainly it's been common in my experience to hear people talk about feeling lost or unseen, but invisible is maybe less...
I've heard that word less.
I would say that feeling of invisibility is my needs are no longer visible.
I am unseen, like people are not seeing me.
It's like this baby or these children are now what's visible and...
People are paying attention to them and not me and I no longer matter.
Like, can anyone hear me?
Can anyone see me?
I'm now just a role and the needs of these little humans or my family are
are so huge and so all-consuming that my needs feel like they no longer matter.
And in my book, I talk about how what I've noticed is that when I feel invisible, and still even now, Karina, like with my children, the age they are, I still feel that sense of invisibility at times.
