So because they were able to collect so many assets with all the moves at the trade deadline with Uyghur and

And with Rasmus Anderson, they were able to make a move and bring in a young piece.

Obviously, that wasn't a fit for both player and team in New Jersey, or at least it wasn't as good as it could have been.

And I think they were willing to take a little bit of a chance on a player that they see as NHL-ready.

And I think if you look at the way their roster is shaping up right now, they've obviously moved on from a lot of veteran D-men.

A couple of guys, Jacob Middleton came in in the Coleman trade to kind of help stabilize things.

You've got Nemech there, obviously he's a little bit, he's still on the young side, but a little bit more experience in terms of games played.

And then Zach Whitecloud's still there on the right side.

Greg seems to be dedicated to building right now from the back end out.

You've got Dustin Wolfe.

You've got Devin Cooley for another two years.

That kicks in this year.

So your goaltending is kind of solid, which was great for them last year.

And now you've got...

some youth on the blue line, and there's still more coming that are in a college or playing junior for the next year or two here.

And then you're just trying to insulate them with some solid veteran presence.

And, you know, Kevin Ball is another guy that kind of fits that category too.

So I think they've really seemed to lean in on the D, and it's kind of interesting.
