As explicit as this podcast is, we're taking it down in a completely fucking different direction if I go into this description.
Let's just say that I had an uncomfortable time from mile 15, and my stomach just completely turned.
And I have quite a sensitive stomach anyway.
But thankfully, in other previous races, I've never had a problem because my nutrition's always been really good.
But I think with the combination of the heat mixed in with the jet lag, because I'd only two days to adjust to the time zone, and maybe a food choice combination gone wrong.
But I had a bad time of it from mile 15.
But again, like absolutely everything, you
You just kinda have to suck it up and keep going.
And I made the commitment coming into this race, similar to the Sahara, similar to the Arctic, that unless I had to be pulled out of there in an ambulance, I literally was finishing the race, or else I was going to time out.
If I had to keep moving slowly and the thirty-one hours went by, I would have kept going until the thirty-one hours and been like, Right, cool.
I put in my best effort and I just wasn't good enough on the day.
But a sore stomach, it did put
Me out for about 15-20 minutes on the side of the course.
And I had to just kind of regather myself.
So I made the commitment there that I was going to keep going and just not eat.
And from mile 15 to about mile 40, if I'm not mistaken, I didn't eat anything.
I just drank water.
It was the only thing, and I could I could only stomach water from mile 20 on.
For the first five miles, I couldn't even stomach the water, it was just coming back up again.
And I just kept moving forward.
