So every time you come.
Through a 2.5 mile loop, your name will pop up on the screen, it will tell you what position you're in.
And I was in eighth, so I was in eighth from mile 50 to mile I think 95.
Um, because I was making really good time between mile 50 and mile 80.
Those 30 miles I just kind of cruise straight through, but then from mile 20, as if somebody flicked a switch, everything on my body.
Just started to shut down.
And it's weird because I I don't know if I've ever felt this before.
And this was definitely a unique experience for this particular race where everything just went at once.
And I spoke about when my Achilles tore in the Arctic.
I'm like, I could feel a twinge in my Achilles for you know 20-30 kilometers before it went, and then it just tore, you know, and it put me out for three months after I got back.
But this was different.
This wasn't a tear per se.
This was just my body all shutting down at once.
Um, so my knee started throbbing and swole up to two or three two or three times the size of my left knee.
Um, my hips, my ankles, my calves, everything just started to shut down.
And what happens, and one of the problems of the negative compound effect when you're running incorrectly is.
When you get, say, blisters on your feet, or you get a problem with your knee, or you get a problem with your hips, you start running differently.
And what that does is it puts strain on different body parts that aren't used to having strain on them.
And one of the reasons I think my Achilles tore in the Arctic was because I was running in snowshoes, and that affected my normal running stance and running style and running gait, meaning that my Achilles was more likely to tear, which it did.
