And for the last 20 miles of this race, it was just I just had pain everywhere.

I actually did take two painkillers at one stage.

I took salpidine.

Um I don't know if I'm allowed to say, yeah, I can say fuck it, I can say what I want.

It's a podcast.

I'm like, yes, not normal radio.

Um yeah, so I took two salpidine, which is just paracetamol and codeine, um, because of the fucking pain, trying to get through from mile eighty to mile hundred to mile one hundred.

And my

Speed slowed down, and every mile from mile 80, so 81, 82, 83, 84, everything started to shut down and everything just started to stall.

And I couldn't walk even at that stage because what happens with an ultramarathon for anyone that's never ran you know over 50 miles or even over a normal marathon, which would constitute an ultramarathon, is you can walk second.

Of an ultramarathon.

And one of the strategies people would use is you'd walk up hills and then run everywhere else.

And what I would normally do in this case was my plan going out to Nevada was I'm gonna run the first 50 miles, see how my body feels.

I know I can run 50 miles, and then after that, adjust accordingly.

And what happened at mile 80 was I couldn't even walk because my body was just in this kind of broken shape.

Shuffle that I couldn't run at a fast speed, but I also couldn't walk because the pain was too excruciating when I walked.

So I did this kind of hybrid in between, which was like a shuffle.

And I did that for the last 20 miles.

And it's fucking character building.

Because when you've ran 80 miles and you still have 20 miles left, so the better part of a marathon, you're just like, fuck this.
